Monday, August 20, 2012. The Rottweiler Personality and Termperment. I have had a couple Rottweilers in my life, starting when I was a child. They make wonderful companions and are very loyal. I have one now that is 7 and she does great with my kids. I feel that you can raise a dog with proper care, love and socialization they can make wonderful pets. And also up for adoption out there but you should talk to your vet about how to find a good breeder before you jump in. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. If you do not have a big yard for your dog, it's very important to walk them a couple of times a day even as they get older. This goes for many large dog breeds. That require more exercise as they are prone to hip dysplasia and dog obesity.
