Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Portugal and my new favorite tiny town. November 24, 2014. But I still loved it! It reminded me of Oxford – my other favorite small European town. Cobblestone streets and tiny mom and pops shops. And did I mention the roman forum? Yeah, that was unexpected (except it was….since I’d read about it before coming). And the church that lets you walk on its roof. Or the warm chestnuts! This entry was posted in Live. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Flourless, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal, Chocolate Chip Cookies. March 2, 2015. We had a hankering for something sweet on Saturday night. After a major kitchen cleaning, we found a large amount of oats. So instead of brownies from a box (which are delicious), we decided something with oatmeal would be good. I finally stumbled upon a recipe for flour-less, oatmeal, peanut butter, chocolate chip cookies. ( Original Recipe. 1 tsp Baking Soda. 2/3 C Brown Sugar.

Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. July 23, 2014. I made this “breakfast” pizza over the weekend – it’s really just a pizza with an egg on it. A few friends asked for the recipe so I thought I’d post it. A word about cauliflower pizza – it’s kind of a little biatch. Sometimes it works great and sometimes it’s a little soft. But I’ve tried to optimize the recipe for best results, so here it goes! Pizza crust Ingredients (makes 2 large pizzas or 4 mini pizzas). 1 large head of cauliflower.

Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Did you celebrate Pi(e) day? March 16, 2015. I don’t normally celebrate this nerdy day, but since it was Saturday, and an epic Pi day (3/14/15), and I own a Pi(e) plate….you get my drift. Nick actually suggested we buy one, then I offered to make one instead. The rest, is history. Delicious, delicious history. Do you have a go-to pie recipe? Want to give it a try? Here’s the recipe! Sour cream (you can add a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg).

The Hall Monitor: A little off the rocker
http://deckedouthalls.blogspot.com/2009/11/little-off-rocker.html
Monday, November 23, 2009. A little off the rocker. I thought I show the finished result of this project we started quite a while ago when we still lived in Reno. Steven has fixed up a few rocking chairs in his day. He let me help pick out the fabric and paint for this one. We finally finished it this summer! Thanks to the special help of a talented seamstress.) Now if we only had somewhere to put it, other than our basement. Notice our other long term project there in the background. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. I have a confession to make…. September 10, 2014. I have no idea what a copy editor/writer does. I once met a copy editor/writer and I asked, “so what do you do? Response: “I write copy”. If someone asked me what I did, I wouldn’t say, “I mechanically engineer”. I think I may have figured it out. If I replace the word “copy” with the word “words”, does it have the same meaning? Ok, that’s all for Wednesday. Oh, and happy birthday, Nick.
