For the love of books. Monster in the hollows. By the good read. This book is perfect in its timing! Just when you start to get bored of all the action, they settle down and live a semi-normal life. I enjoyed this book differently than the others. Its comfy cozie nature is settling. And you see the family history in a different light. North or Be Eaten. March 8, 2016. By the good read. This week I read Oedipus the king*! This one was a challenging read. I had to read it twice to really break down the complicated structure. When I got to the core of the book, I saw the amazing wisdom Socrates entwines! He is a magician of logic and philosophy, but also of language! Top Posts and Pages.

https://onceuponatimemediareviews.wordpress.com/2015/09/02/the-war-that-saved-my-life-by-kimberly-brubaker-bradley

Once Upon a Time. A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest. The War That Saved My Life, by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley. September 2, 2015. All that good stuff being said, I don’t think that every single person will be interested in this book. While it is well done, it isn’t for those who can only read action/adventure type stuff. Overall Rating: 4.5/5. Audience: Ages 10 and up. Pingback: Top 5 2015 Books Once Upon a Time. Enter your comment here.

Once Upon a Time. A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest. Code Name Verity, by Elizabeth Wein. March 23, 2016. I have two weeks. You’ll shoot me at the end no matter what I do. We are a sensational team. And I have told the truth. I am over the moon excited to. Have something good to say about a book; there have been a couple real doozies that I have not been happy about, as I’m sure you’ve noticed. My first intro to this book was on a road...

Once Upon a Time. A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest. The Many Lives of John Stone, by Linda Buckley-Archer. March 22, 2016. Additionally, the notebooks she’s organizing span centuries they begin in the court of Louis XIV in Versailles but are written in the same hand. Something strange is going on for sure, and Spark’s questions are piling up. Who exactly is John Stone? What connection does he have to these notebooks? Except, I didn&#8...

Once Upon a Time. A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest. The Willoughbys, by Lois Lowry. September 2, 2015. The whole book was tongue-in-cheek, and more hilarious than I can even say! Many people compare the style of the story to Lemony Snickett, but I thought The Willoughby’s was far funnier. Would it actually bother you that the parents don’t like their own children? Or that they attempt to get rid of them? The narrator was very good; no...

Once Upon a Time. A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest. The Invention of Hugo Cabret, by Brian Selznick. October 26, 2015. When Hugo’s Uncle Claude leaves and doesn’t come back to the train station, Hugo begins to wonder what will happen if the clocks stop working. The Water Seeker, by Kimberly Willis Holt | Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time. A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest. The Water Seeker, by Kimberly Willis Holt. May 10, 2016. Except, how can he? The water both calls to and terrifies him. How can you live a life that you yourself have torn in two? This book had a crazy amount of potential. Seriously. But living up to the expectation of the description is easier said than done. A side note: kudos to Will Patton the narrator! UPDATE: This post was most...

June 1, 2012 · 1:55 pm. Gnit-Wit Gnipper and the Perilous Plague. I just got finished reading a really fun story by T.J. Lantz, Gnit-Wit Gnipper and the Perilous Plague. I have to say it was really enjoyable. The story itself is suitable for children of all ages, it would make a great bed-time story and T.J.’s characters really help to capture the imagination, much like Enid Blyton did for me when I was younger. The book is available on Amazon as a paperback and as a Kindle Edition for those with eReaders.
