We were in New Orleans for Mardi Gras and had the opportunity to visit with the latest addition to the Grant clan - Rhys Grant who was born December 15. Rhys is the son of Scott and Heather Grant and the designated Crown Prince of the Grants as he is the only male grandchild. We all met at John and Laura's, so here are a few pictures of Rhys and family. Rhys talkng to Caren. Rhys just smiling away. He did a lot of that. Myra, Catherine, Walter, Caroline, and Ryan. To head there now.

We had a quiet Christmas of Adults Only. There were to be just a few gifts under the tree and somhow the magic of Christmas took over. Ryan, Kyle and Myra in their Chrismas PJ's. There were still some presents under the tree. Later on, Lexi and Holly claimed the couch while Deuce curled up by Robert. Christmas Eve Dinner was spectacular. Of course there were stockings for the girls who were here and some for the girls (and Kirk) who weren't. John, Kyle and Ryan grabbed the couch. Caren got her Wii.

Just a nice day with family at home this year. Here are some pictures. Dads and daughters. (My shirt was a gift in 1990). A nice picture of Caren and me with the 3 girls. And if you have PhotoShop, you can add Erin here. Dinner is served. Steak and salad. YUM! Debra, Robert and Ryan had a head start. Lexi sacked out while we ate. I did get a nice Father's Day present - - the slide that Ryan has wanted for 15 years. Looks like Camp Grandma is going to be ready for fun. Updated April 14, 2009.

The family joined us for. The Powells visited from California. Kyle and John joined us for Thanksgiving Day dinner. Myra spent time with us and the little ones. Ryan and Debra prepared the turkey (see above) and stuffing under Me-Paw's supervision. It was an excellent holiday. Myra, Addison, Kirk, Erin, Beth, Caren, Walter, Ryan, Robert, Kyle and Debra. Addison, Erin, Ryan, Beth, Kyle and Myra. Add in Kirk and John. It was pancakes every morning. And fascination with the phone. Beth and Aunt Myra.

Erin and Beth joined us over the Labor Day Holidays while Kirk was off being in full charge. Of a football game show for his company. Jack and Jodie were with us hiding from Katrina, so we had more family to enjoy their visit. You always have to deal with pictures of the proud grandparents first. Me-Maw helped feed Beth. While Me-Paw managed her on the swing. Erin and I drove to Austin to see the Longhorns play ULALA ( pics here. And then Aunts Kyle and Ryan came to Houston to see Beth.

Monday, April 5, 2010. Alisha had her first Dance Competition this year the weekend my parents were in town. What a stress, I'm glad my parents and Jason were there with me. Alisha did great. She had a lot of fun. Ali's art was displayed at the Art Foundry in St. Charles. We went down there with my parents. It is right off the Missouri River. We got to walk over to the Louis and Clark statues while we were there. It was so fun having grandma and grandpa here! We had a lot of fun. Monday, February 15, 2010.
