Gravity in Launceston: Black Box
http://gravityinlaunceston.blogspot.com/2008/09/black-box.html
Tuesday, September 2, 2008. The Black Box event presented by the Manic Productions Crew was over a month ago now. Here are some of the photos that I took whilst they were setting up the Installation and Performance event at Arts Alive, and whilst it was happening. Being a drawer the definite highlights were "buying squares on the blank canvas to create in" and Nic drawing and writing over almost the entire venue with white chalk. For the full collection click on the album below:. We Make Money Not Art.

Gravity in Launceston: September 2008
http://gravityinlaunceston.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 25, 2008. Drawing Jam @ The Perpetual Party Collective. September's Drawing Jam took place amongst the growing cardboard walls of the Perpetual Party Collective's bump-in at Arts Alive. Matt and Themis very kindly let us use one of the cardboard rooms in the labyrinth; it glowed with the light of the data projector. Casting coloured shadows and insulated from the world we had our best night yet. Posted by Sarah Howell. Saturday, September 20, 2008. The video will open in full screen.

Gravity in Launceston: June 2008
http://gravityinlaunceston.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Over the weekend I went to an exhibition at Forepaw by Melbourne based artists Michael Prior and Lachlan Conn. It was really good, like the best show I have been to in a long time. I pretty much hung out in there all day, til the outside lights got dark and the rainbow animations glowed on the cardboard surfaces of the geodesic domes. This exhibition was wonderful for many reasons. 2 for its beautiful design and construction. 4 for the cubby house utopian dream. 7 the animations...

Thursday, July 17, 2008. The first Drawing Jam at Arts Alive took place last night in the surrounds of the NAIDOC week Tasmanian Aboriginal Artists Project exhibition(on until today, the 18th).
