Tuesday, May 17, 2011. An update on the resolutions. Had such a good time. Saw friends I really hadn't seen in 20 years. I've been reconnecting with some of them on Facebook prior to the reunion. Sunday, October 31, 2010. The spooks came out on Halloween Night. This Vampiress might give you a fright! The wind blew chilly and we wished it was hotter, but at least we had a cute Harry Potter. Friday, April 1, 2011. Brett's preschool put on a Spring Program last night. Each class sang a song or two. They also had the cutest little slide show for each grade level. Brett has really enjoyed preK since switching into his new class. There are only 9 kids and they all really get along and like each other. He has two best buddies in his class - Isaac. Saturday, April 9, 2011. There were a lot of songs sung, dances danced and laughs laughed. We even got to go Spider Sniffing. I can't tell you about that though. It's a secret society. Next time we are camping, I can take you though and get you inducted into the society also. The girls did great, had fun and slept well through a very loud thunderstorm. Thank goodness for lodges and the wiseness of a leader to plan it there for our first - thanks Tiffany! Saw my first "Tweeker" - cool! Busy, busy bees.

Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Back in the Swing of School. Katelyn returned to Norfleet Elementary for 2nd grade this year. She has a permanent substitue for the first quarter until her "real" teacher Ms. Bray comes back from maternity leave. Her name is Mrs. Hoover. Kate and I both really like her so far. Thursday, January 27, 2011. This is how Brett walked into the room today. Then he decided to give Maizy some treats. I'm not sure she was feeling very safe with the treat game. So, soon that switched too. He added skates. Hockey. He used the dog treats as pucks. He even asked me, "Do you know why I have this helmet on? So if I fall, I won't hurt my head.". Thursday, March 31, 2011. Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter! Around here, that's all we talk about, watch, play, dream. Brett is obsessed! We now own a LEGO Harry Potter Quidditch set - bought with his own birthday money. So we play that while watching Harry Potter. My only concern came today when he told me (in complete seriousness), "Mommy, I need a new wand - a REAL one - so I can do real spells and make things float and stuff." Will he be crushed when he figures out that's not possible?
