The Green Garden: April 2013

http://thegreen-garden.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Perennial Plants for Beautiful Borders. Tuesday, 30 April 2013. A 'Summery' note for last Year. Most of us talk about what a bad year it was, what with fete's fairs and car boots being cancelled due to the weather. However, most of you will only remember that when it came to a weekend the weather turned and rained or it was too cold especially for gardening. I had accomplished the lower borders by then tidying up the lavender beds, and watching the hens dig around and scratch on the car park. A Summery n...

Rockingham Forest Cider: April 2012

http://rockinghamforestcider.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

A place to journal our cidermaking year. Wednesday, 25 April 2012. Looking at these pictures now with the rain battering against the windows, our annual visit to the orchard in Worcestershire last weekend seems like an age ago. We timed our visit for maximum perry pear blossom, the Oldfields. In the Far Orchard. Green Horse perry pear blossom, a reasonable showing after an 'off' year in 2011. Sunday, 22 April 2012. Rockingham Forest Cider: Ciderhouse News - June 2014

http://rockinghamforestcider.blogspot.com/2014/06/ciderhouse-news-june-2014.html

A place to journal our cidermaking year. Tuesday, 24 June 2014. Ciderhouse News - June 2014. We're approaching 'Peak-Cider' time here at Rockingham Forest Cider. With both cider and perry (almost) literally flowing out of the ciderhouse and straight down the throats of thirsty customers. Almost! We do have to transfer the golden liquid into boxes and barrels to aid this process. Licensees help too with their fancy 'glasses' and stoneware cider mugs, for which we thank them. And Green Horse Perry. Barrowd...

Rockingham Forest Cider: Leicester CAMRA Beer Festival 2015

http://rockinghamforestcider.blogspot.com/2015/02/leicester-camra-beer-festival-2015.html

A place to journal our cidermaking year. Monday, 23 February 2015. Leicester CAMRA Beer Festival 2015. It's all reassuringly similar to successful festivals of the past, details of which can be gleaned from the flyer reproduced here. Over there. On the right. Susan has 'finessed' the cider list, the latest version uploaded here. Some notable changes, including the sad loss of early-season Torkard which is so early-season it may still technically be apple juice! Cider and perry 2015. Farmer Fear, Leics.

A place to journal our cidermaking year. Wednesday, 6 June 2012. Admiral Nelson Beer Festival, Market Harborough. The Green Eyed Bandit

The Green Eyed Bandit. Thursday, June 25, 2015. I've been wanting to blog for at least a week, but couldn't come up with anything that I thought was long enough to blog about OR I didn't have enough time to sit and get all of my thoughts out at one sitting. SO here we go. 1 I was in AP training a couple of weeks ago to allow me to teach AP Statistics next school year. Picking this particular class had several blessings in them:. I was excused from post planning at school,. So we need to QUIT feeding our ...

Today I laughed, but it wasn´t my laughter.

The Green House

Wednesday, August 10, 2011. In April, Kenadi had to have her tonsils taken out. These are not great pics about a not fun time, but I figured we would want it captured for later in life. Kennadi had been having trouble with her breathing at night. It had gotten really bad and the doctor wanted the tonsils and adenoids out right away. She was very nervous before surgery and wasn't a very happy camper. She did not like the itchy, clown gown. She did really well with recovery and now sleeps so good! This yea...
