Postings of Life, Painting & Travels: Aspen Grove, Park City
http://careysorensen.blogspot.com/2011/09/aspen-grove-park-city.html
Postings of Life, Painting and Travels. Monday, September 12, 2011. Aspen Grove, Park City. 20X24 Acrylic, Casein and Pastel on canvas. I enjoy how these tall spindly trees grow, seeking the light. Aspen are a prolific tree in the mountains around Park City Utah and I made many photographs of them while hiking high up the bare slopes of the ski resort in early Spring. Posted by Carey Sorensen. Postings of Life, Painting & Travels: Produce at Pike Place
http://careysorensen.blogspot.com/2011/08/produce-at-pike-place.html
Postings of Life, Painting and Travels. Monday, August 15, 2011. Produce at Pike Place. 11X14 Watercolor on Canvas. So many wonderful sights, sounds and smells at the Pike Place Market in Seattle. I gathered a lot of images on my afternoon trip through the bustling market on the Seattle waterfront for several future paintings. I enjoyed making small watercolor studies while standing among the crowd of tourists and locals all jostling for fresh fish, crab, clams produce and flowers.

Postings of Life, Painting & Travels: Silver Springs Falls
http://careysorensen.blogspot.com/2011/08/silver-springs-falls.html
Postings of Life, Painting and Travels. Thursday, August 11, 2011. A hike to the top of Silver Springs Waterfall was well worth the effort as I stood almost under the falls with mist spraying over me. Near Entiat in Eastern Washington there is a distinct difference in Evergreen trees and of course that there is more sunshine - always a good thing. Posted by Carey Sorensen. Burnt Sienna....: A big leaf of faith
http://dailysallyscribbles.blogspot.com/2011/06/big-leaf-of-faith.html
And the colours that follow. Thursday, 16 June 2011. A big leaf of faith. Soooo I've gone back to my old art school for a few months. The opportunity makes sure I commit at least 3 hours a week to painting, and i can immerse myself in all the wonderful work other students are creating. I really need to work out a new balance between work and painting, but at the moment, I can only commit to these 3 hours! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A big leaf of faith.
