A brief History of The Guides Inn:. Jim Blaisdel opened the first gin mill in the brown shack behind the Inn; it was there where they stored the moonshine that was brought up on the railroad to serve lumberjacks. Jesse and Johny built The Guides Inn as it is presently known as their home. Through the years they remodeled it into a bar and restaurant. Jesse died in 1971. Johny then sold the inn to Hugh Gibson, Bob Flannery and Frank Copeland, which then became known as The Junction.
