Cbear's Corner: March 2011
http://cbearscorner.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. And exactly five years later on February 16, 2011, we brought our third child, the completion of our family home from the hospital, our daughter, Lyla Anne. I know this post is late, it would have been nice to post it on February 16th, but I was a little busy that day! Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Owen was super excited and couldn't stop talking, Max wasn't sure what to think, and I couldn't help but document having two grandmas in Vegas at the same time! Tuesday, March 29, 2011.

Cbear's Corner: September 2011
http://cbearscorner.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 5, 2011. Riding with No Training Wheels. While we were in Michigan Owen reached a milestone and successfully learned how to ride his bike with no training wheels! We noticed that he was fairly ready, when Grandma Sue took him for a ride on the bike, while Gavin was shopping for training wheels, but we put the training wheels on anyway so that he could keep up with his cousins. The next day, I took Owen on a ride into Harbor Beach on the bike path. During this trip Owen got stopped b...

Cbear's Corner: Remembering a Special Lady
http://cbearscorner.blogspot.com/2012/02/remembering-special-lady.html
Monday, February 27, 2012. Remembering a Special Lady. I hope that my daughter Lyla Anne, named after my grandma, will grow up to be as strong-willed and independent as my grandma was. I hope that she has the courage to deal with life without letting life get her down. I hope someday she understands that she was named after a pretty amazing woman. And I hope my grandma knows how much she is missed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Other blogs I read. 5th Graders' Book Reports. View my complete profile.

Cbear's Corner: June 2010
http://cbearscorner.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Tuesday, June 15, 2010. I am curious as to why picture perfect moments only last a millisecond. Then the craziness started, Owen playfully put Daddy's chip on the board instead of his own, then said, "just kidding, daddy! Finally, he got up and started playing hopscotch across the board, that's when the game got cleaned up! Owen threw his plate on the floor and said he didn't like it. Oh the joys of parenthood! Cbear's Corner: 5 Year and 1 Year Check-ups
http://cbearscorner.blogspot.com/2012/02/5-year-and-1-year-check-ups.html
Thursday, February 23, 2012. 5 Year and 1 Year Check-ups. Since I have given up Facebook for Lent, I have to document my children's lives somewhere, ok besides their scrapbooks! So, looks like I may be blogging more during Lent. Today, Owen and Lyla had their well checks. Owen weighed in at 55 pounds, which is above the 95th percentile. He measured 48 inches or 4 feet, exactly. Again, putting him above the 95th percentile for height. Both got a clean bill of health. Owen was pleased to find out that he d...

Cbear's Corner: Shhh, Mommy's Sleeping!
http://cbearscorner.blogspot.com/2011/07/shhh-mommys-sleeping.html
Sunday, July 3, 2011. Shhh, Mommy's Sleeping! When Max realized that my eyes were closed and I hadn't said anything for a while, he tried to shush Owen. In a loud whisper, leaning over me, he said, "Owen, Owen, shhhh, Owen, Mommy's sleeping! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Other blogs I read. 5th Graders' Book Reports. Cbear's Corner: February 2011
http://cbearscorner.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 18, 2011. Lyla was not scheduled to arrive until February 28th, but she apparently had other plans. I continued to have "braxton hicks" contractions for the next few weeks. Sometimes they were so strong I needed to lay down on the couch, other times they were very mild, but fairly consistent for the week after our first trip to the hospital. But the week after that I felt pretty good overall, although, still exhausted. And she replied, "You're having a baby today! I immediately burst int...

Cbear's Corner: November 2010
http://cbearscorner.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 27, 2010. Kick off to the Christmas Season. Owen was excited to talk to Santa this year and even took a decorated pinecone he had completed at preschool to show Santa. Max was mesmorized by Santa, which surprised me. I was anticipating him not wanting to be placed on his lap. The video at the top of the blog is a result of our evening! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Cbear's Corner: December 2010
http://cbearscorner.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 23, 2010. Last year, Gavin and I decided to start a tradition of driving around neighborhoods looking at Christmas lights. A couple weeks ago we took our first drive of the season. Owen was much more verbal than he was last year about what he was seeing. He was so excited at times that he could hardly get the words out of his mouth that he wanted to say! Look out my window Max, see the stars? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Other blogs I read. 5th Graders' Book Reports.
