Breathe Hope: Too Good Not To Share
http://claire-imsen.blogspot.com/2012/11/too-good-not-to-share.html
Saturday, November 3, 2012. Too Good Not To Share. I was browsing one of my favorite blogs, Big Blueberry Eyes. And the first thing I found was treasure. A group in Kansas City,The Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City,. Has created a video about the friendships between teens with and without down syndrome. This video is in some ways geared towards youth, but the message is universal. My eyes were puffy by the time I got through. Please enjoy Just Like You. Posted by Claire Imsen. Keep up with Elina!

Perfection and Perspective | Sarah Defies Gravity
https://sarahdefiesgravity.wordpress.com/2011/09/26/perfection
The Story That Started It All. What one little chromosome taught me about love, life, and defying gravity. If there’s one thing I wish I had been told when Sarah was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, it would be that ignorant people are everywhere and that their ignorance is the gift that just keeps on giving. One of the things I worried most about when Sarah was diagnosed was how I would see her. Was I going to be able to love her as much? The answer, it turned out, would be yes…with conditions. Are there c...

Breathe Hope: A Dash of Christmas
http://claire-imsen.blogspot.com/2012/12/a-dash-of-christmas.html
Thursday, December 13, 2012. A Dash of Christmas. Last weekend was amazing. Elina and I drove out to Oklahoma for a sort of reunion. My friend Brittani and I have stayed connected since high school through our love for each other's children. This is, sadly, not easy to do and we have learned to be flexible, to not worry or get on each others case if we haven't talked for months. The good news? It's never too late. Elina's dearest friends, Noemi and Bella. Posted by Claire Imsen. Aw i miss you all! Enjoyi...

World Down Syndrome Day: Just the Facts, Ma’am | Sarah Defies Gravity
https://sarahdefiesgravity.wordpress.com/2012/03/21/world-down-syndrome-day-just-the-facts-maam
The Story That Started It All. What one little chromosome taught me about love, life, and defying gravity. World Down Syndrome Day: Just the Facts, Ma’am. Today, March 21st, is World Down Syndrome Day. Why March 21st? Because Down Syndrome (or T21) is a chromosomal defect where three copies of the 21st chromosome are present. 3 copies of the 21st chromosome=3/21. Get it? It’s also an excuse for Dadad to dress Sarah in his alumni colors of yellow and blue (can you guess where. What is Down Syndrome? Yes a...

The Story That Started It All. What one little chromosome taught me about love, life, and defying gravity. Down Syndrome Awareness and the future of Sarah Defies Gravity. So, 31 for 21 is almost over and I admit that I didn’t put forth one single post for it. Why? Well…the biggest reason is that we’ve been busy and that there are other things on my mind, so I just didn’t have the inclination. The second is slightly more selfish. And lazy. What does that say about us as a society? Are great communication ...

The Story That Started It All. What one little chromosome taught me about love, life, and defying gravity. The Story That Started It All. Originally posted at http:/ www.babycenter.com. On September 13, 2011). I’ve heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason. Bringing something we must learn, and we are lead to those who help us most to grow if we let them. And we help them in return. Well I don’t know if I believe that’s true. But I know I’m who I am today because I knew you. I felt uneas...

BantaBanter: February 2015

Thursday, February 26, 2015. Night vision goggles in use to sneak up and drink from Daddy's cup. Who goes out to play in the snow with mini Lego figurines? This kid. The little black dots on the step are Lego men. Just one more reason we are looking forward to spring….to find missing Lego pieces when the snow melts. Even Morris kitty came out to play with the kids….until snow started getting tossed around! After school snuggle fest are the best! One tired girl this evening! Friday, February 20, 2015.

BantaBanter: March 2015

Wednesday, March 25, 2015. The thing you learn when your child has allergies. I learned today that the red flavor ice Popsicles are strawberry. I thought the pink ones were strawberry! Nope those are tropical fruit. The good news is the other food option that could of caused her hives was a brownie. I was worried that the eggs in baked good were going to start causing hives. She is fine with not eating eggs for breakfast but would be sad if she couldn't have cake, cookies and brownies. The closet went fr...

BantaBanter: November 2014
http://bantabanter.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 26, 2014. 26 classroom treats ready to go! At 4:17 am, Gage's birth time, he cried out for me. He said he could not go to school and that he was going to throw up. At 5 am he started puking. Daddy treated Sis to breakfast from her favorite place to eat! This girl probably would have been just as excited to get gift cards to Chick Fil A for presents! Rylin sang Happy Birthday to her brother and gave him a kiss before heading off to school. Present time once Rylin came home from school!
