We would like to thank all of our customers for their support over the last 8 years. We have had some good times, some laughs and of cause sadness when our beloved Stitch passed away. How can we forget the tactful Mr Milford when the young chap was proposing to his girlfriend. The rather loud should have gone to Specsavers was priceless.

Halfway House Restaurant Honesdale
Herman Schuerholz was born in Paderborn Germany and came to Honesdale in 1867. He followed his trade of bookbinding for a time then built the Halfway House in 1877…appropriately named because it was halfway between Honesdale and White Mills. During the flood of 1955 rescue vehicles were unable to respond to a fire at the Halfway House and it was destroyed.
