It's All Part of the Plan. Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Back at blogging, mostly to track my recovery as it is now nearly six months since the surgery on my foot. Ran approx 1.5 miles today even though I woke up with my ankle hurting. Same place in the front deep and then over the top of the foot. Felt better by the time I ran. No it wasn't the USMC Marathon, or even the 10K Fun Run (got to love the USMC sense of humor! Rather it was the Goblin Gallop in Faifax - a 5K run (costume optional) to raise money for kids with cancer. The emphasis was on improving form and not going as heavy as you can. Pretty happy with results. 2 reps, start at 70% of max then work up 2.5% until form fails. 110lb x 2, 115lb x 1.
