If you are an introvert, with no interest whatsoever in taking up jobs that are even remotely related to informal non science-related public speaking, but keep being asked to be an MC for events, would you say yes? BUT, despite what I would love to say, there’s the expectation, and there is this little voice inside of me that keeps on telling me that I have to fulfill it, for I-don’t-know-what reason. So should I say yes? Am I allowed to say no? I miss UK :(.
