Cooking in Nana's Kitchen: All-American Stew
http://susan-grandmaskitchen.blogspot.com/2010/04/all-american-stew.html
Thursday, April 29, 2010. I thought I would use the slow cooker for this. Scott loves foods cooked in a slow cooker. I prefer either stovetop or even oven cooked. Guess I was in a good mood because I was making food the way he likes. Okay, about an hour before dinner, I checked on the stew. It was watery, the veggies weren’t cooking, and I was getting frustrated over the pets being little devils all day. So I just dumped it all into a Dutch oven and brought it to a boil and voila, stew! 189; cup red wine.

Housewife on a Shoestring: Personalized Christmas ornaments on a budget
http://housewifeonashoestring.blogspot.com/2010/11/personalized-christmas-ornaments-on.html
Monday, November 29, 2010. Personalized Christmas ornaments on a budget. Post one of several. My holiday ornaments are in terrible shape. I have been using the same ones my entire adult life. They are scuffed and sad looking thanks to curious toddler hands and climbing kittens and gigantic dog tails. New ornaments are not the cheapest things in the world. To get a deal you really have to buy the same old colored glass balls. Today's project is snowman ornaments. Materials for one dozen:. Total cost for 1...

I used my pressure cooker and a slightly altered recipe from Lorna Sass’. Yields 4 servings, 1/2 c each. 1 c Pinto Beans. 1 T oil (to keep beans from foaming). 1/2 T olive oil ($.02). While the...
