The Hasslers, since forming in 2012, have been called a lot of things. Genuine, hard-hitting MT folk-rock, erudite pool hall rock, folk-rockicana, once even latin emo. What they really are is a bunch of kids from Montana with a knack for writing catchy tunes. While attending University of Montana in Missoula, studying creative writing, Matt met with bassist and recording engineer Ben Haber and percussionist Joey Boyd, and the Hasslers were born. The cake may be a lie…but it sure looks good. My friend introduced me to perler beads a while ago and I finally got around to getting setup and trying my hand at creating some "art". Perler beads are little round beads that have a hole in the middle. They are like colorful tiny inedible donuts. You put a bunch of them together and you end up with an image of something. What can you create? Here are my first two creations. Behold, a Metroid and Samus Aran. So how does this work? Buy a few peg boards.
