Tales of a Wandering Chinaman. Lost and Found in Seoul, Part 2: Birth Family Found. Deep breath. Here we go:. Last Wednesday morning when I was at work, I was scanning through my email inbox when I noticed an unopened mail from a sender I didn't recognize. Subject line: Sister. I was feeling light-headed and dull from my sinus cold and the previous night's NyQuil, so I had to read it a couple of times to realize what it said. I'll paraphrase parts of it here:. The Helga Files: Interferons

http://thehelgafiles.blogspot.com/2008/05/interferons.html

Tales of a Wandering Chinaman. Okay, so it's almost June and I've crawled out from my cave after half a year of hibernation in my dark, dark cave. I just finished approx. 6 months of sick leave while taking weekly self injections of interferon chemotherapy to try to kill my chronic hep B. Fortunately, I dropped 30 lbs and was granted sick leave. Unfortunately, I lost hair and muscle, went into a deep and dark depression, have gained back the weight, and the treatment didn't work. Can I eat shellfish?

The Helga Files: Helga Turns 30

http://thehelgafiles.blogspot.com/2006/10/helga-turns-30.html

Tales of a Wandering Chinaman. It's happened. I've officially waved good-bye to those beer-drinking, crazy party times of my 20's. Now that I am 30, I feel so much more mature. wiser, if you will. I was trying to think of some pearls of wisdom that I could share. All I could come up with is this:. Once you travel, the world starts to become a smaller place, and you realize that we are all humans striving for the same thing: living a life with dignity. Tapered pants make your legs and butt look fatter.

The Helga Files: I have B.O.

http://thehelgafiles.blogspot.com/2008/03/i-have-bo.html

Tales of a Wandering Chinaman. I have B.O. Photo by me - Lyon, France. Manchester United vs. Olympique Lyonnais Champions League game. This was the last time I had showered. So there I was: standing in my home office, taking off my ski cap (my standard uniform these days) to scratch my head. whilst I tried to figure out what day it was. Is it Wednesday or Sunday? Whoa - you have some B.O. dude. You need to take a shower - you smell ripe. Sniff sniff. (taking a whiff of her ski cap).

The Helga Files: Shrooming

http://thehelgafiles.blogspot.com/2006/08/shrooming.html

Tales of a Wandering Chinaman. Photo by me - 26 mushrooms and 1 dorky grin. We found the mother of all mushrooms! These damn things were larger than my left ass cheek and tasted fantastic when Ernst cooked them at home. We had a full feast of fried mushrooms, mushroom soup, pork steaks with garlic cream sauce, sausages, pasta salad, and gorgeous chocolate mousse. We finished the evening with wine, coffee and those wooden puzzle games that are impossible to solve. Labels: Travel Pic of the Day.

Tales of a Wandering Chinaman. My Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies. Photo by Rachel is Coconut&Lime. This is a slightly modified version of the Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie recipe. Factoids or Fiction. pg.1/4. September 11, 2001. The root or the trunk of all evil? 1775- The American Revolutionary War started as the American colonies wanted to seperate from the oppressive Monarchy of England. Challenging all involved in orphancare – proactive planting. By The Helf Family. It has been a while since we’ve written an actual blog post and something has been on my mind all this time. I would consider this a challenge post for me and for all interested in orphan care, hosting, adoption, etc. Why not just lump everyone in there as well. Strategy of caring for orphans to a proactive. Level by planting the Gospel in the lives of the community to impact families themselves. We have our winners! The gra...
