The Helping Hub was born one Saturday morning amidst the chatter of a group of busy moms as they industriously scrubbed down the kitchen of their children’s preschool. Their discussion of various ideas and ways to engage their children in community service and philanthropy morphed into a bigger landscape of amazing nonprofits in Los Angeles, many of them grassroots, who were serving the needs of so many with a lot of energy and very few resources.
