Recently, I had a small holiday to Northland, New Zealand. I went around in a campervan with a couple other people and limited ourselves to touristy areas but I would break away from time to time to do some bush living. One such occasion was two nights of bush living at Houhora heads. The area has a lot of mud flats, and where there are mud flats, there are cockles!
