The Hinton Spieler.: ......and the Good News Second
http://www.thehintonspieler.blogspot.com/2015/06/and-good-news-second.html
A Hinton Hunt, Der Kriegspielers and other vintage Napoleonic wargames figures blog. Friday, 12 June 2015. And the Good News Second. The Prussians have arrived! Well, so much for my schemes and plans. Ian's cavalry have arrived at last! My rant against the postal service was premature. However, one can't help wondering where on earth they've been for the last 2 months. 12 June 2015 at 03:01. Anyway - a happy ending this time! 12 June 2015 at 18:00. This is not inspiring confidence, Tony! Light chestnut, ...

A Hinton Hunt, Der Kriegspielers and other vintage Napoleonic wargames figures blog. Thursday, 30 April 2015. A Flag for the Forty Fifth. DK13: French Line Infantry Standard Bearer. Like a moth to the flame, I just couldn't keep away from Chuck's wonderful DK eagles. I'm not totally convinced by the colour of the flag pole and may opt for a plain brown staff in the final. In the next post I'll take a closer look at the rest of the DK French line infantry that will be forming up in the 45th. My cunning pl...
The Hinton Spieler.: The 13th Légère Line Up

A Hinton Hunt, Der Kriegspielers and other vintage Napoleonic wargames figures blog. Sunday, 7 June 2015. The 13th Légère Line Up. The 13e Légère march out. It's a cold winter's night here in Wellington, but I'm warmed by the fact that the 13th Légère are finally ready to take the field. Joining the DK 8. Chasseur companies featured in my last post are six DK 8E: French Line Infantry Elites 1812, Charging,. Painted as carabiniers; and two DK 8E. And four DK 11E. That I was able to find only eight DK 8E.

The Hinton Spieler.: Prussian Lancers 2
http://www.thehintonspieler.blogspot.com/2015/08/prussian-lancers-2.html
A Hinton Hunt, Der Kriegspielers and other vintage Napoleonic wargames figures blog. Saturday, 8 August 2015. I am very pleased to present, at long last, the second squadron of the 3rd (Brandenburg) Uhlans. The figures are Hinton Hunt PN 89: Prussian Guard Lancers. And very aggressive looking chappies they are too. I wouldn't like to have been a Frenchman standing in the way of this lot! It remains to be seen whether or not they can make it back to blighty in time for vintage waterloo. Subscribe to: Post...

Unfashionably Shiny: Fantastic Soldered Soldiers
http://unfashionablyshiny.blogspot.com/2014/05/fantastic-soldered-soldiers.html
Thumbing its' nose at black undercoat and matte varnish. Sunday, 4 May 2014. The above are a sample of the British Legion dragoons Doug Mason created for me last year. Despite there being only 2 castings in the Hinchliffe range (an officer and trooper) Doug has created a unit of 24 figures where each is different. Of all the conversions i think the trooper with pistol and dangling sword is my favourite, and something of a Mason trademark. Beautiful work Doug. Mr Mason is a very talented chap!

Unfashionably Shiny: July 2013

Thumbing its' nose at black undercoat and matte varnish. Saturday, 27 July 2013. Right lads, they want a kitchen extension, conservatory, and oak floors throughout. In more ways than one - the Black Company of Pioneers was one of the first all black units of ex-slaves raised during the AWI. Most loyalist units were mixed, and these chaps too were eventually integrated into the Guides and Pioneers. These loyal servants of the King are conversions of Connoisseur Egyptian artillerymen, tools by Minden.

Thumbing its' nose at black undercoat and matte varnish. Thursday, 23 October 2014. What's that coming over the hill. Dan Morgan and friends contemplate a career change as they spy a horde of shiny redcoat veterans on the march. Is it a monster Gilder AWI update? Cant wait to see more like these then. 23 October 2014 at 22:18. What a great vignette Doug! Looking forward to seeing the rest. 24 October 2014 at 22:21. Thumbing its' nose at black undercoat and matte varnish. Friday, 16 August 2013. Eligible bachelor seeks cavalry brigade. Casimir Pulaski in search of a command. My rebel cavalry force is in urgent need of reinforcement, the reasons for which will become evident shortly. Forced to flee his homeland, shunned by many rebel officers, and mortally wounded during a futile charge - this man clearly broke a few mirrors in his time. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Hinton Hunt, Der Kriegspielers and other vintage Napoleonic wargames figures blog. Sunday, 16 August 2015. On a Swiss Roll. Swiss Fusiliers. But what to do next? Have a good one! Links to this post. Saturday, 8 August 2015. The figures are Hinton Hunt PN 89: Prussian Guard Lancers. Links to this post.
