Poem of my life. An attempt to keep people updated on my life, since I am not always good at corresponding. And, hopefully, a reminder to me and everyone who reads this that God is the conductor of my life and deserves all the glory. Sunday, February 15, 2009. We were bussed up to the mountain at 7:00 (actually it ended up being 8:00, but whatever), waited around in the cold and wind watching other contestants (including many soloists who planned to do all four events their crazy selves! Fun to be on a m...

Tuesday, July 17, 2012. I have taken up the task of reading through Jonah Goldberg's The Tyranny of Clichés. I will be posting quotes I find interesting. The process of deciding whether something is 'right for the times' is an inescapably ideological one." Goldberg 23. To date I am aware of no ideological school.that claims it does not work." Running down one lane of an overgrown dirt road, watching the sunset through the sunflower stalks and listening to my happy dogs. this is beauty. Grading students' work for the morrow. this too is beauty. Even if not so enjoyable.

Snippets from the fabric of our days. We went with our host family to Burabay National Nature Park. One weekend. A three hour drive north from Astana through the steppe on a brand-new six lane highway, it is a summer vacation destination. Along the highway, in rest stops, parking areas, or just wherever, people come from local villages vending locally harvested mushrooms (pickled) and honey (absolutely delicious). Burabay was full of people. These huge crayfish were boiled. And delicious. Leave a Reply C...

http://super-josh.blogspot.com/2009/04/525-600-minutes-almost.html
I'm just a guy living in a world that's not my own. God is in control.and I like that. This is just some of the stuff that happens in my life. To answer those who ask.what has gotten into his head? 525, 600 Minutes (almost). I'm still dating her (mostly via cell phone from Montana to Iowa), so that takes up a good amount of time at night after work. To Live Would Be An Awfully Big Adventure. Thursday, March 1, 2012. National History Day and the Juggling Student. Is a high school student juggling three volleyballs in a history classroom news? In Canton, South Dakota, it just might be. One of the wonders of my job is also its curse: quirky subject matter. When you’re a journalist in a town of 3,000, story ideas sometimes require some creativity. And sometimes people surprise you. 8220;Can I be in it? 8221; asked the random student behind me. 8220;Well...

To Live Would Be An Awfully Big Adventure. Wednesday, August 10, 2011. What a Sweet Old Mannnn.Nope. What started as a routine trip to the grocery store for cheese, crackers and fudge sticks Tuesday evening quickly turned into the stuff of legend for my friend Elizabeth and myself. Preparing for a visit to an friend’s apartment, we decided to drop in on our local grocery store to try and scrounge up some culinary compliments to Wood Chuck Cider and other such libations. 8221; she asked excitedly.
