The Hoopless Stitcher

Sunday, November 8, 2015. There Have Been Trials and Tribulations. There have been trials and tribulations to say the least. Right after the post of October 18th, my mom started having stomach problems. We thought it was a stomach virus and thought for a day or two it was getting better, then it wasn't. I took her to the emergency department and they thought it was pneumonia and a UTI. Started treating her for that in the hospital and she was getting better, wacky from steroids, but, better. The Hoopless Stitcher: November 2015

http://www.thehooplessstitcher.blogspot.com/2015_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 29, 2015. Just Because I Thought It Was Cool. We had a little snow. As it melts off the roof it drips on the Burning Bush and created some very cool icicles. I figured this would make a good background on my FB header. Where's Rudolph is coming along nicely. Quite the jolly elf. Thanksgiving weren't well and everyone was able to be there. While the kids were home, we put the tree up. Katy won't be home until just before Christmas which is cutting it pretty close. Sunday, November 22, 2015.

The Hoopless Stitcher: Hocus Pocus

http://www.thehooplessstitcher.blogspot.com/2015/10/hocus-pocus.html

Thursday, October 8, 2015. Been working on Prairie Schooler Hocus Pocus. It is turning out sooo cute. I am really sad that she has retired. Prairie Schooler has been one of my favorites for years. I have 75 patterns but, not really, I have pack of the little free cards she use to give. Got to love the XStitch app and it is now available for Android. Working on Hocus Pocus. I took Buster to the groomers this morning and Henry Ford went in his crate. He really thought that Buster was getting a treat. Infer...

Get My Posts By Email. Sunday, March 2, 2014. As the title indicates, I've been doing a little of this and a little of that. Just enjoying what there is to do and to work with. Seems there are never enough hours in the day though, and I know a lot of you feel the same way. They're stuck on that vehicle pretty darn good, so they aren't going anywhere on their own for sure! Excellent. They even tried to trick me when I checked out the. Can you see the tiny bird peeking out? I could kick myself today! Bill ...

Get My Posts By Email. Friday, March 28, 2014. Oh What a Beautiful Morning! It is indeed a beautiful morning and it looks like the whole day will be sunny and bright. I feel so blessed and so happy. I know exactly how this little girl feels in this picture. I finished another motif on "Quaker Diamonds" yesterday and will be stitching in more letters today. The motif is the one on the lower left. A lot of counting and. We'll be taking Matt, our grandson, after school to see the Coast Guard's tall ship, th...

http://lindalees-crossnmystitches.blogspot.com/2014/02/pretty-pinks.html

Get My Posts By Email. Monday, February 10, 2014. Valentine's Day is so very close, so I decided to dress my dining table with the pretties I've made. I really enjoyed working with the different shades of pinks and reds. Setting this up every year reminds hubby just how much he means to me. I've been working on two cross stitch pieces at a time! I'll be getting a spring giveaway together soon, and I think that I'll make it another "non stitchy fun box" like I did for my last giveaway. I know that man...

Get My Posts By Email. Wednesday, February 19, 2014. I am indeed still working on my cross stitching and enjoying it, but wanted to get this chair all fixed up as a house warming gift to a very special friend. Finished it this morning with two coats of paste wax. I did stress the wood here and there by sanding or scraping some of the paint off before I put the MinWax stain on it. I enjoyed the project. http://lindalees-crossnmystitches.blogspot.com/2014/03/has-spring-sprung.html

Get My Posts By Email. Thursday, March 13, 2014. I was ready to say that it has, but here we have a day that is so bitterly cold due to a strong wind. The sun is shining nice and bright though and Bill has the wood stove going. So it's warm and cozy inside. I do have to also show you some things here in this part of NC that tells me it is indeed very close to spring. First the Hyacinths in the back yard. Big fat bumble bees in my cherry tree. Get My Posts By Email. Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Yes We're keeping busy and so thankful that God has given us healthy bodies to do so. Between walking, yoga and just plain simple exercise moves, we're keeping up. I've been taking the shawl that I'm crocheting with me when I pick our grandson Matthew up from school in the afternoon. I get there early enough so I can work on it for a few minutes before school is out. Here it is so far. The colors aren't what. Still time to do it up for Easter. All my swee...

Get My Posts By Email. Thursday, January 30, 2014. This is the second new moon of the month and I'm happy to see that there are more snips and bits in my T.U.S.A.L. container. As I call it, "my snips and bits jar". You can see some softer colors from "Quaker Diamonds" and some greens and violets and blues from "Language of a Cross Stitcher". Love both pieces, and here are the results in the jar. January 30, 2014 at 5:17 PM. Lovely stitching, the colours are gorgeous :). January 30, 2014 at 9:17 PM. Febru...

The Hoopla

Thursday, June 19, 2014. Today I want to share with you a project that has been slowly coming together over the past couple of months. I had been on the look out for some inexpensive but comfortable barstools for our island. We need 3-4 stools, and you know by now that I was looking for a deal. I was originally thinking of doing something industrial like this stool from Pottery Barn. That STARTS at $159 each. Or these fun stools from Overstock.com. That are around $100 for two. I love the color. The firs...
