Doug and Jen and family came up the first Friday of July. Each of the kids brought a friend. Doug took them on a good hike up Mt. Jefferson. Here they are huddled behind a stone marker to protect themselves on a windy day. Jen left on Sunday and took the kids friends home. Maya is with Lucy on the left and Lachlan and Skye are on the right. This is the first time we have had 6 kids up here together. But they were well-behaved and we hope that we can do it again. Yes, it is humid up here. No significant rain in the last six weeks. Despite that, the meadow is mostly green and the trees are doing well. But the humidity is unbearable. After all, this is the North Country. Temperatures have mostly been in the 80's. We feel sorry for the Southern New Englanders.
