Monday, November 29, 2010. You can read all about Neil Merryweather here. But let's talk about this record. It's in the top ten of best rock records ever. Made I'm not stating an opinion, that is a fact. More consistent than pretty much anything from that era, it's also explosive fuzz guitar at it's peak. Turn it up and you can feel the heat of vintage transistors being over driven as guitars scream to 11. Not sure how to describe this one.partly later Electric Prunes, a bit of Highway Robbery.

Tuesday, August 23, 2011. The now legendary Bang. Started forty two years ago this month in Philadelphia, PA and since then not many have put out a record as good as their self-titled debut. I could go on about how they moved to Florida, opened up for (and supposedly blew away) their heroes, Black Sabbath.but instead here's a great link. For those who want to dig deeper. Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Moose Molten Metal vol. 2. Canada week continues.This here LP I scored at the Antique Mall in Edmonton and does it ever SMOKE! The bands are fairly NWOBHM sounding with very little trace of lame "Sunset Strip hair metal" (though a few of the photos definitely show signs of that scene emerging). Sneaking in one of my all-time favorite rock records before October gets here, Highway Robbery's sole LP "For Love Or Money" is cut from the same cloth as Grand Funk and Cactus (at their best). Heavy fuzzed out guitars and great lead vocals with sweet harmonies. I don't know much about these guys, but a couple of them went on to be in ATLEE. If you like music.
