The House on Rusk. Thursday, January 8, 2009. Eric and the boys (they're gonna help build, too! The lot is located in the East End, just southeast of downtown Houston. Its an old neighborhood, predominately Latino, but it is already gentrifying. Here is the lot! It took a lot to get it, and we honestly thought we had lost it. (I will post the long story soon.) We have a lot of work ahead of us, and our goal is to finish the entire house by early summer! Eric, Judith, Isaac, Javier, and Benjamin Cruz.

Tuesday, March 31, 2009. On Saturday my family took the boys to pick strawberries at a local farm, Frohberg Farm in Alvin, Texas. I didn't get to go because I had to work. :( But, they told me that the boys had a blast. Isaac and Javi picked enough strawberries for a year! This is my favorite pic! Isaac felt right at home since he is used to working in my parents' garden. Javi got mad every time they emptied his basket. Hopefully, we'll go back next year!
