Monday, January 20, 2014. Maple once, maple twice. Around Christmas, we bought some panettone. While I don't care for the idea of fruit cake, I'll throw down on some panettone. Not every way- the thought of an omelet still makes me gag, and strangely, although scrambled was the only way I would consider eating them for about 20 years, I now do not. Saturday, May 4, 2013. Just down the hill from us is an outpost of La Boulange. A local string of Frenchie-type bakeries with delicious pastries, tartines, and the omnipresent macarons. We usually pop in there on Saturday mornings while out with Soph and pick up a quarter loaf of their multigrain, a couple of almond croissants, or, on occasion, a bite-sized fondant au chocolat. All I want is a good maintenance proceedure but I start getting clammy thinking that any minute the guy and going to start saying, "Like it? You know you like it." and go downhill from there. I make a mental note to myself to find out if my sister knows anything about cutting hair and curse myself for not flossing more often.
