Monday, August 24, 2015. Maggie: Yesterday we took a technology free day (no iPhone, iPad or iview) and we took the girls on a little walk to a place called Fossil Cove. A rocky playground hidden away to enjoy watching them make up games using rocks, shells and the little cave. Perfect. They loved it and in fact Maggie sobbed when we had to leave "her beach and shells". Elisabeth: She was worried when Papa ventured onto the rocks without her! Rob took both of these photos. Wednesday, 15 May 2013. We have a range of tubs in the garden that are a combination of traditional plant pots, hand made timber planters and IKEA storage tubs. Simply with drain holes drilled in the bottom. The red IKEA tubs. Are much cheaper than traditional planters and although they may fail after a few seasons of sunlight, they are also recyclable. I try and buy good quality organic potting mix and manure to feed the soil. Good soil it the key to growing good food! Do you grown plants or herbs?

I have had a long-time love affair with screen printing. It started in school and I still have the silk screen I got in about year 9. I confess I have never been very good at it but its something I have always wanted to do more of. So recently I made a couple of simple designs and printed them onto some cotton fabric. Friday, May 05, 2006. Chicago is my kind of town. Mardi was in Chicago for work so we decided I would come down for the a long weekend too. Saturday we went shopping along Michigan Avenue. In the evening Mardi's cousin Noelle joined us for a few drinks and Jazz at Al Capone's last club The Green Mill. On Sunday we hung out at the Millennium Park and Shed Aquarium which was fun.
