http://theimaginedfield.blogspot.com/2015/01/pyro-gallery-double-vision-show-and.html

Sunday, January 25, 2015. Pyro Gallery 'Double Vision' Show and Reading. I am pleased to say that I am one of the poets represented in a collaborative project at the Pyro Gallery in downtown Louisville. I collaborated with sculptor John McCarthy, who is also working with my daughter Teagan's kindergarten class as an artist-in-residence at Lincoln Performing Arts School. Together we made an homage to my father, who died during the collaboration. An article from the Courier-Journal. 169; Mariano Avila.

The Imagined Future is the website of author Gabrielle Sutherland

It's all about the Journey . . . It's all about the Journey . . . I stand on the Path in a moment, aware of the difficulty of capturing a single measure of what we call time, because in the very instant I announce its presence, that capsule of existence has passed. Let us say that we can consider a "moment." I stand in that fragment of awareness, and gaze backwards at the path that brought me here. Where does that path exist? Is my authentic memory of the photograph and story, or of the actual event?

The Imagined Jay –

We shall forget by day, except the moments when we choose to play, the imagined pine, the imagined jay. Wallace Stevens. Sleep is a map made of glass,. No matter where it leads. Casual conversation about things that move us. If I had to recall, I would say my deep love of music began in the passenger seat of my grandmother’s car as we listened to the cassette “I Can’t Hold Back” by the L.A. Mass Choir. I felt the magic of entertainment when I watched old recorded concerts and videos of Michael Jackson with my Aunt Marcia. I experienced transcendence when I heard Whitney Houston. When I first heard “I Love the Lord” off the “The Preacher’s Wife” soun...Those who read this may att...
