The Impulsive Chef: June 2014
http://theimpulsivechef.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 6, 2014. Feeling a bit saucy. I've been experimenting a lot lately with different kinds of sauces, but haven't gone too far from the basic tomato-based variety. Inspiration struck last week though, and I had a major taste for something involving onions. I thought about what I had available, and struck off into uncharted (for me, at least) territory. As I mentioned previously, I am part of a co-op program called Azoti. Maybe an onion sauce? I don't have any. How about onion salt? I started by...

As I've said before, I look forward to it more than anything because I love cooking and serving groups. This time, I didn't spend that much time coming up with a specific dinner- it all just kind of happened randomly as I wandered around Kroger. So what would you have with a mini steak? I forgot to get a picture of the potatoes, but they looked similar to these. Baked and crispy spinach. The f...
The Impulsive Chef: Homemade Mozzarella
http://theimpulsivechef.blogspot.com/2015/04/homemade-mozzarella_21.html
Tuesday, April 21, 2015. I absolutely love fresh mozzarella- with tomatoes, basil, oil, vinegar, on pizza, on sandwiches, all by itself.there's no wrong way to eat it. Unfortunately, fresh mozzarella isn't exactly cheap, and the quality varies widely from brand to brand. Luckily, it's way easier to make a ton of it on your own for a tiny fraction of what you'd pay in the store for considerably less. You're going to need only a few ingredients:. It looks like milk that has been in the fridge too long.

The Impulsive Chef: July 2014
http://theimpulsivechef.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 1, 2014. I've taken up smoking. For Father’s day this year, my wife got me a charcoal grill and smoker- something that I had wanted for a while. I had never once in my entire life cooked with, or even eaten food cooked with charcoal, but had chicken that was and knew I needed to have one. Taste the meat, not the heat! Gimme some of that mmm mmm good, meat falls of the bone.baby i'm hongry, i said baby you hongry? Artist's depiction of a burger. One yummy pork loin. Soaking the wood was some...

Let’s Talk TJ’s! REVIEW: Burger King Fiery Chicken Fries. August 14, 2015. August 13, 2015. Yes, that box is adorable. And I like it more than the Burger King Fiery Chicken Fries that came in it. Oh wait, I meant to write none-burning cayenne pepper and sneeze-inducing black pepper. And thank goodness these come with a sauce because the meat within the coating was a bit dry. So instead of “In Case of Fire Smother With Sauce,” perhaps the inside of the box should’ve said, “In C...While Burger King’s Fiery...

The Impulsive Chef
Friday, May 15, 2015. Hey all, Lisa here. I've really come to enjoy baking recently, and anytime I feel like making cupcakes, I knock them out and then send them to work with Brian. That led to my very first. Professional" (paid) cupcake order, from one of Brian's co-workers! I prepared by scouring Pinterest for decoration ideas to match my customer's theme, purchasing all the tools, accessories and ingredients I'd need, and making sure all of my equipment was spotlessly clean. An obscene amount of butter.

The Impulsive Gardener
Gardening journey. #ImpulsiveGarden. Wednesday, 17 June 2015. Salvias and tomato cuttings. Today the greenhouse, which for so long has been a place of refuge and shelter, has at last begun to become unbearable to work in in anything more than flip-flops and a vest-top. One advantage,.' I told my self as I unstuck another plastic plant label from behind my knee, 'is it's possibly that much better for the cuttings.'. Let's hope the cuttings take. ;). Sunday, 20 April 2014. The Impulsive Planner
Once upon a time there was a girl dressed in pink, who dreamt of a clean room and a full calendar. She always called her grandma, but rarely checked her email. One day she woke up to find herself in the middle of an internship with Finals Week approaching…. So, she did the logical thing and started a blog. Powered by WordPress.com. Powered by WordPress.com.

The Impulsive Poet | Words that sing.
Living in The Conditional. May 30, 2013. One day a wise old man. Made a proclamation to the land. He said: ‘Living in the conditional. Is getting out of hand. From this day forward, my people. The tense shall be used no more. No more would, should or could. After all, it is such a bore’. And in the crowd was outrage. Their fury spread and grew. They were afraid of being decisive. For them it was foreign, new. 8216;You have no right to restrict us’. They cried in collective voice. It has been said before.
