You know full well that the middle of August, at 3am, is the best time ever to go out for a walk. Add a light breeze and they should open parks at this hour. The other day is Christmas Eve, and my favorite experience of the season is leaving church that evening and driving through the near-silent city. The malls are closed and the streets are empty. Let's journey together for a while. Advent: Exposed, Preparing Room. To prepare for treatment for bed bugs, we had to move all our furniture and belongings to the middle of each room. Wednesday night, after a long day of cleaning and laundry and feeling sorry for myself, I curled up in my sleeping bag next to the startlingly high pile of worldly possessions in the center of my bedroom.
