The Happy Home: Sneak peek at my kitchen + a little interview
http://www.thehappyhomeblog.com/2015/02/sneak-peek-at-my-kitchen-little.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. Sneak peek at my kitchen a little interview. THIS IS MY KITCHEN! Well it is finished aside from a little painting and kickboard installation. We finally - after a whole year - had a tiler come and do the splashback. I don't know why I waited so long! I'll show you more of this space later, but the reason for the picture was for a little interview I thought I'd share with you. My good friend Natalie has a relatively newish blog called The Indigo Crew. Answering 10 questions cove...

Two Little Pirates: A renovation update
http://twolittlepirates.blogspot.com/2011/08/renovation-update.html
Saturday, August 20, 2011. Years ago there was a teacher at my boarding school that eventually went on to write a series of books about Australia at war. The Tomorrow Series. In the first book Ellie (the narrator of the books) says that:. Time spent in reconaissance is seldom wasted". The new bathroom is now finished, hurrah! Now we are fiddling about with this bathroom:. We are now wondering whether or not to run a shelf all the way along the length of the wall. Josh and Jenna stopped theirs...Cant bel...

http://twolittlepirates.blogspot.com/2011/03/exteriorstreet-front-inspiration-for.html
Thursday, March 10, 2011. Exterior/Street Front Inspiration for Chez Pirate. The renovation is about to begin in earnest and the pressure is on to make some decisions. For some time I have been photographing houses in our neighborhood and the surrounding suburbs for inspiration and one of my husband's hobbies is to spend hours perusing real estate sites so we have amassed quite a collection of images to inspire us in our latest renovating endeavour! Closer shot for y'all of the colour! Another jewel on t...

Two Little Pirates: Pirate Party - the Invitations
http://twolittlepirates.blogspot.com/2010/09/pirate-party-invitations.html
Friday, October 1, 2010. Pirate Party - the Invitations. So this is what I have spent my morning doing! I copied a treasure map image I found through google images, faded it to make a background and then typed the invitation wording across the top. The font is blackadder. Once printed, I cut out the invitation and dunked it in a baking tray of very strong tea. Singed the edges with a lighter and lastly, tied with twine! I think I will have to hand deliver them! October 1, 2010 at 3:45 PM. As long as you ...

Two Little Pirates: The old boat sand pit or as it's being called on Pinterest, the sand box!
http://twolittlepirates.blogspot.com/2012/07/the-old-boat-sand-pit-or-as-its-being.html
Wednesday, July 25, 2012. The old boat sand pit or as it's being called on Pinterest, the sand box! After writing the guest post. I have received numerous emails asking about the boat sand pit/box. The photo I posted of the boat is apparently very popular on Pinterest. Before I even had children I had daydreamed about creating a play area that involved an old wooden boat. As a child I adored many books that involved boats:. And who wouldn't have wanted to. Row away to The Secret Island? In winter, yes...

Two Little Pirates: Puzzles for renovators
http://twolittlepirates.blogspot.com/2012/02/puzzles-for-renovators.html
Thursday, February 23, 2012. Or how to make a stone hearth:. So this is what Ross and I spent the weekend doing, a giant stone puzzle. We had the Cannon Fitzroy gas fire installed before last winter, which was money well spent, it seriously heats up half the house! Since then it has been sitting in it's frame, albeit with a mantelpiece, waiting for us to get around to doing the stone surround. So end of summer we have finally got around to it! Ross hard at work! Now to grout it! I rang a dozen different ...

Two Little Pirates: Los Angeles
http://twolittlepirates.blogspot.com/2015/04/los-angeles.html
Friday, April 17, 2015. Way back in early January we visited Los Angeles for a few days en route to Canada and in the interests of actually documenting some of our life events on the blog I thought it was about time I wrote a post about it! The boys are learning to love it! Activities for kids that they have enjoyed in LA have included a visit to the California Science Centre. The highlight for the boys though was a visit to the Peterson Automotive Museum. They really enjoyed the Hot Wheels exhibit but t...

Two Little Pirates: Happy Birthday Captain - The Pirate Party
http://twolittlepirates.blogspot.com/2010/10/happy-birthday-captain-pirate-party.html
Monday, October 25, 2010. Happy Birthday Captain - The Pirate Party. I woke on Saturday morning to the Captain standing next to the bed, fully dressed in his pirate outfit. It was 6.03 am and the first thing he said was, "how long until everyone gets here? Blinking in the light shining in through the shutters he had opened, I was so thrilled to see it was a beautiful day. A sign outside the house welcoming our guests! Eye-patches, bandannas, cutlasses and hats ready to hand out to the little pirates.
