In karate, kata means that literally shape or model. It is usually formed with sequence of movements which represent many offensive and defensive postures. By training kata, we can more understand about the uses of each stances. This is because the various moves have multiple interpretations and applications. Therefore kata is also one of the most important part in the karate examination. The players will not pass the examination if they done their kata badly or even forgot the steps.
