Thursday, February 26, 2015. It never fails to surprise me when laika listens to music. She has an ear for the tone and she loves carnatic music. The day we got her home, she was listening to m.s in the car. Till date, whenever she is cranky and cant sleep or is loafing around after a fight, I just start singing and she comes and sits next to me. Monday, June 29, 2015. Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your own living room. As a kid, I was a reluctant dancer. I went for dance classes, but was very lazy and preferred my book and a cozy corner to getting on stage and actually dancing. Belur is on the Bangalore to Mangalore route. The Channakesava temple is a wonder set in stone and the place is so beautiful to behold. I'm so proud of my heritage when I see the place. I always outsource the job to someone else, but since I was sick of watching television and reading, and my thoughts were almost killing me, this was a solution. Wednesday, August 05, 2015. The house has been resounding with the music of Bhaja Govindam since then. It has been very relaxing to learn the song and even listen to it. Perhaps things are going to change, perhaps the singer in me is going to wake up and want to do more performances.Only time will tell.
