We all have to start somewhere. Saturday, October 18, 2014. In a previous post. Now I have finished the quilting. Front of Cardiac DNA (21" X 21"). Back of Cardiac DNA. Back is pieced out of pieces of Marcia Derse fabrics. Back is pieced out of Marcia Derse. After auditioning a bunch of binding choices I ended up with the same stripe that I used for the 'nucleotides'. Note that the stripe is actually a zigzag, so to get things going around in the same direction, I had to cut strips of the 'zigs' and ...

TEA TIME CREATIONS : September 2014
http://teatimecreations.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Living life one stitch at a time! Thursday, September 25, 2014. We live our lives in "hurry-up" speed so much of the time. And in my case I even have reminder notes in the margins. Now if I could just learn to slow down and enjoy my coffee outdoors. So I waited patiently until almost dusk and snapped again. Thank you Mdm Samm. Last wee...

Lizzie Lenard Vintage Sewing. What is Vintage Sewing? Free Motion Quilting Design Videos. Thursday, 6 August 2015. Free Motion Mavericks - Week 56 - The Grand Draw. The Grand Draw took place this week, in the kitchen next to the sink. In the interests of transparency, all the names were put into a pyrex dish. Angie chose the second landscape that I finished, and has given it the title Heading Home. The ducks have already started their long flight to California. So what have I quilted this week? Remember,...

I think of ruffles as curtains and little girls dresses and flounces on pillows so when Madame Samm. Announced her blog hop I was not sure what direction I would take. I stitched a new padded cushion for my stool and created a frivolous look with a flower ruffle. Next came a ruffled pillow case to match a new afghan for my musical niece.
