Monday, June 23, 2014. Remember how cute and LITTLE the chicks were in the previous photos? Well they're nearly full grown now! We've had them for about 9 weeks and they've grown exponentially since the day we brought them home. They're definitely a part of the family now :). Benny has learned to pretty much leave them alone now, since the rooster has become more defensive of the hens. They've had some epic face offs from between the fence! Saturday, January 5, 2013. Seeing the Lights at Temple Square. So I realize these posts are a little out of order but a few days before Christmas we had the opportunity to go down to Temple Square and see all the lights. Every year they seem to be better than the last! They also had the candy windows back at the old ZCMI building! The ceiling in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building is SO pretty! Monday, April 14, 2014. We had the opportunity to go down to Las Vegas for a tool convention for Riley's company. They usually hold them twice a year and I didn't have a chance to go to the last one. To be honest, I wasn't really planning on attending this rally either but Riley's manager hinted that I needed to be there because Riley wasn't receiving an award! Saturday, October 20, 2012. Camping at Washington Lake. Can you tell I'm playing a bit of catch up? About a month or so ago we went camping up in the Uintas with my sister-in-law Jessie and her boyfriend Tom. Washington lake (among a bunch of the other lakes up there) is one of my favorite places on Earth. I know I say this all the time, but we truly are BLESSED to live in such a BEAUTIFUL country. Monday, June 16, 2014. Smith and Moorehouse Camping with Jordan, Alyssa, and Jax! A few weekends ago we were able to go and use the kayaks for the first time up at Smith and Moorehouse! It's one of our favorite camping spots, and the lake was nearly FULL to capacity making it perfect for kayaking! We drove up on Friday afternoon and got there in time to find a camp spot, make a fire, eat dinner, and head to bed. It was little Jax's first campout and he actually did pretty great! The view from our site!

Wednesday, November 20, 2013. About a month or so ago we received an invitation in the mail to one of Riley's mission companions' wedding. At first I was bummed because they were getting married in the Mesa, AZ temple and I didn't think we'd be able to make it happen. Riley was determined to make it there, though! Thursday, December 5, 2013. 2013 Was a Year for Traveling (Kinda). I got looking through a bunch of our pictures from this year and realized how many fun trips we got to go on!
