Introducing Jersey: March 2014
http://introducingjersey.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 26 March 2014. Bob Key, Church of England Dean of Jersey (CI). I have just heard the Dean being interviewed on BBC Radio Jersey and a more sickening piece of effrontery you could not imagine. He was oozing complacency and triumphalism which must surely have made every one listening, bar his own claque in the Jersey civil and church power structure, throw up. The man is a smoothie weirdo. Jesus would have a fit. I already have. I have previously posted. You can listen to the Dean here. At the e...

Introducing Jersey: October 2012
http://introducingjersey.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 25 October 2012. I know about France. And I understand La Francophonie. But this one has me beat. The mission of the French Institute (Alliance Française) is to spread the French language and culture (Langue et Civilisation Française). That I know too. So, when I go to the Institute's restaurant (La Cocotte) I generally expect to see French dishes, and when I see a revolving sequence of regional dishes (Plat Régional) I certainly expect these to be French. Time for Les Crapauds. Jersey's Dean- ...

Introducing Jersey: November 2013
http://introducingjersey.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 27 November 2013. What is the image above? That will become clear at the end of this post. We'll start by setting the scene on the island of Jersey, one of the Channel Islands off the coast of France. Despite its proximity to the French coast it is British, a British Crown Dependency. It is sort of independent and originally answered directly to the British Monarch who was responsible for its good governance. The monarch has since delegated this function to her UK Justice Minister. It appears ...

Ozzy's Place: Reflections part one
http://ozzysplace.blogspot.com/2012/10/reflections-part-one.html
Monday, 8 October 2012. You would think that after 51 years I would have life sussed, but I haven’t! My life was never going to be an easy one, from birth it just went downhill. I was, in the first nine years, passed around from one place to another, never really having the chance to settle in one place long enough before being moved again. Even at this stage the Jersey Children’s Service failed me dramatically. For twelve years that was my life, bikes birds and booze/drugs, I can admit now that I did so...

Ozzy's Place: Struggling With Depression
http://ozzysplace.blogspot.com/2013/07/struggling-with-depression_6.html
Saturday, 6 July 2013. By Debbie Leads 8/10/03. Days of endless struggle. More hopeful pills today. Trying to appear ‘normal’. In some sort of way. It seems that the struggle. Is always here with me. And I wouldn’t be here now. If guilt would leave me be. I know there’s been many. Who’ve had it worse than I. But that doesn’t always mean. That I wouldn’t say good-bye. People say I have a lot going for me. I’m sorry, but I just can’t see. I can’t see because my worst enemy. Is not my life, but inside of me.

One Day: To my son for Christmas x
http://onedaysooninjersey.blogspot.com/2011/12/to-my-son-for-christmas-with-love-and.html
Saturday, 31 December 2011. To my son for Christmas x. Every day i think of you, the pain just doesn't fade,. I wanted you home but the decision had been made,. You were twelve when they took you,. You were kidnapped by the States. A part of me has gone with you, it can never be replaced,. If I saw you tomorrow would I even know your face? At some point in the future you will know the truth,. Of how we fought for you throughout your youth. The tears we have shed, the ups and downs. Senator Terry Le Sueur.

One Day: November 2009
http://onedaysooninjersey.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 25 November 2009. One Year Ago Today. Well actually I now would like to thank them for that advice, as we spent since July preparing my husbands criminal appeal against sentence and conviction on the main ground of the error in the transripts of my husband's interview - I wrote a post about this in August. I thought for the blog's anniversary I would have a good news theme. Tuesday, 3 November 2009. It's like playing a part in a film. Mrs Hardy: Wheres the clock you bought? Forging a letter fr...
