Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Over the past few days I've finally come to terms with the reality that the extra weight I put on almost a year ago is not going to come off without some serious effort. So I dusted off the old treadmill (which I actually thought was broken until the other day) and started running.well jogging. I've never been good at going to the gym on my own (I definitely do better with a buddy). And kids in general. My schedule never seems to click with anyone else. Jillian's 6-week six pack.

Monday, May 17, 2010. I can't believe it's been 2 months since I've posted! How did that happen! April held some unexpected events for us. But things feel like they're getting back to normal. And we're smiling again. I'm a little rusty at this but I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of things. I'm super behind on blogs so please bear with me as I catch up. :). Saturday, February 26, 2011. Today my mom would have been 57. This is one of my last "happier" photos with her. When we first learned her cancer was back. When we thought she'd beat it like she had a couple years before. It was less than 3 months later we were told the chemo had been ineffective,. And there was nothing else that could be done. A month later my mom was gone. That was just over 2 years ago. I had planned to do something. Something to remember mom. But I spent most of today a bit numb.

Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Valentine's Day is almost here! I think our Valentine's day will be home with the kids. Maybe we'll get one of those heart shaped Papa Murphy's pizzas. Maybe we'll cook something special. I don't know yet. The other day I saw these vintage look valentines at the grocery store. They reminded me of this. I was going to add some smaller hearts but Michael's was sold out when I went back to get some. Go figure. What are your Valentine's Day plans? February 10, 2011 at 6:06 AM.

Sunday, February 13, 2011. Sweets for my sweeties. Today was one of those days. It started off good and then it just went downhill. We were having family over for dinner and I couldn't even get it together to pick up the house. And my house could have used it. Thankfully my family didn't mind. I'd planned to make red velvet cupcakes. I was going to scrap the idea altogether and then I decided to make myself do it. I felt so much better afterwards. Everyone loved the cupcakes. Yay! Labels: in the kitchen.

Saturday, April 26, 2008. Joanna in her room set up as a classroom. Her dolls and stuffed animals are her students and she is the teacher. Josh was one her students also, I couldn't get a good picture of him, though (little stinker.). Note the "teacher outfit" complete with "teacher" glasses. This was all her own idea and I just thought it was way too cute! They played school for hours. I love how well they get along with each other. Joanna, Jacob, and Kim.
