A good rub with whatever you find in the cabinet (like Old Bay, chili powder, cumin, S&P, and paprika.). The coals on one side, ribs on the other thing. A living piece of maritime history. A living piece of Maryland history, the Jolly Dolphin is a wooden sailing vessel modeled on Chesapeake Bay oyster dredgers and built for recreational use. Sometimes called a “workboat yacht,” it was custom-built for the Mick family of Delaware by James B. Richardson on LeCompte Creek in Dorchester County, Maryland in 1958. Found her and bean the restoration of this three sail bateau — an almost forgotten piece by Chesapeake history.
