Day of the Dead Playing Cards. Welcome to The Quest. Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Reading with the Mexican Loteria Cards. Tonight I decided to give them a whirl and see what they might tell me regarding my life currently. I'm going to use a spread called the Four Corners (since loteria is very much like bingo). Each corner represents an area of life. Top left is self with the top right being family. Bottom left is relationships while the bottom right is advice. Advice: El Pescado "He who dies by the mouth&...

Day of the Dead Playing Cards. Welcome to The Quest. Wednesday, April 8, 2015. The Story of El Gallo. Written by me. I only say this, so as not to confuse readers about the "legitimacy" of what I am writing. There are other versions of the card but in this particular deck the El Gallo card is also the deck title card. El Gallo: El que le canto a San Pdero no le volvera a cantar: The Rooster: He that sang for St. Peter will not return to sing again. Here is a link to an earlier post I wrote about El Gallo.

The Quest: March 2015

Day of the Dead Playing Cards. Welcome to The Quest. Sunday, March 1, 2015. Oracle of Visions: Card Two. I'm calling this card The Pretender. When I first looked at this card the biggest thing that jumped out at me is she is pretending to be something she is not. I think she looks a bit snooty. As if by becoming part of this group she has somehow elevated herself or her standing. Others may certainly interpret this card differently, I am simply explaining my own personal thoughts about this image and how...

Day of the Dead Playing Cards. Welcome to The Quest. Saturday, February 21, 2015. Dia De Los Muertos and Mexican Loteria Cards. I discovered this awesome Day of the Dead deck on Kickstarter but the funding period to be a backer had ended. I managed to find them doing an internet search. I bought a "packaged deal" which included the original deck, the black and white version and the painted deck. They can be used alone for cartomancy or I am going to combined them with the Loteria cards for some readings&...
