A Little Loughman: October 2014
http://alittleloughman.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Matt was supposed to go to Violet's Halloween party at school, and when I explained that neither of us would be making it now, she was understandably bummed. Poor thing. She already knows she draws the short end of the stick by being a teacher's kid. "But Daddy has regular work, so he can come! She said. So I juggled things at work and begged for a substitute for the last 20 minutes of the day so I could sneak out and surprise her at her party. I'm glad I did - her face lit up when she spotted me. We are...

A Little Loughman: February 2015
http://alittleloughman.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
That Time it "Snowed". It accumulated. Sort of. One day, we'll look back of this period and say, "Remember the time we were out of school for six days because it snowed? And then we'll laugh and laugh. One day. I might be blaming the groundhog. Stupid groundhog and your predictions of early spring! I'm definitely blaming it on the rain (sing it with me now! Did everyone overreact a little bit? In hindsight, perhaps. But again, who can predict? At least it was pretty! Busting out the Easy Bake Oven! Q: Wh...

A Little Loughman: January 2015

That Time Gus Climbed the Tree. Sunday night, while I was dying of the flu, our indoor. Cat Gus somehow escaped the house, as has been known to happen a time or two (dude stalks the door like it's his life). and then climbed 30 feet into a tree (as has been known to happen. never). Oh, and I should mention that Sunday night was freezing and raining, the best kind of weather for midnight tree climbing. Matt discovered him after returning home from a concert (that I was supposed to be at too - stupid flu!

Make Me an Ark. It will not stop raining! Every day, all week long. No outdoor recess. Soccer practice cancelled. No game. No playing outdoors. Just make me an ark and call me Noah. The 15 minutes it didn't rain this weekend, you better believe we were outside! Selfies are their new obsession. Then it was right back to locking each other out of the playroom. The rain held off for our Friday fieldtrip, thank goodness. And it rained every one of these days too. Let's hope this next week is a little drier!

A Little Loughman: Paint and Partake
http://alittleloughman.blogspot.com/2015/05/paint-and-partake.html
Have you ever been to one of those "drink and paint" places? I've always wanted to go. I secretly want to be artistic, but clearly lack any real talent, so the closest I'll get is a step-by-step class where someone far more qualified tells me exactly where to put my paint brush. Of course, I'm to intimidated to actually try it, which is where the "drink" part comes in handy. Depressed Penguin in Blue. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Little Loughman: March 2015
http://alittleloughman.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Matt recently returned from a five-day business trip. I didn't want to complain, but now that he's back, I wasted no time leaving him with the girls while I had a day to myself with my other girls, my book club pals. Here's what life looks like with Daddy. Bath time. Even Gus got involved. Okay, I got talked into one round.) Current favorite: Spot It! Playground stop while waiting on a prescription. Apparently Annie bee-lined to the biggest slide in the park. Back to the prescription. Learning the word o...
