New Zealand at last!: March 2009

http://wellyexp.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, 15 March 2009. Ellerslie International Flower Show. Due to thw show, much of the roads around Hagley Park was off bounds to cars and some parts of the city was closed to parking. Right underneath the sign that clearly said "Keep Clear", I saw these two bikes nicely parked and locked! I wonder how they will be towed away. Among the many outdoor exibitions, this attracted a huge crowd. I found out why, when I was nearer. Monday, 9 March 2009. Since we were all out to go to sea, we decided to see wh...

New Zealand at last!: March 2010

http://wellyexp.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, 13 March 2010. Anil and I went to Evan's Bay this morning to do our bit for the environment and did some beach clean up. While we were there, we had some fun as well. The biggest mussel we ever saw! The end result after everyone brought in their bags back. Among the rubbish there were shopping trolleys, chairs, tents, tyres, bottles of wine both opened and unopened and batteries. While we were cleaning up the beach, others were having fun on the water. New Zealand at last!: January 2009

http://wellyexp.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, 11 January 2009. What would life be like if you looked different? How would people treat you if your skin were another colour? What if you were a different gender? Or you had a disability? The Big Experiment is a New Zealand local series, a social experiment that radically changes people's identities and gives them the opportunity to walk a day in someone else's shoes. New Zealand at last!: June 2013

http://wellyexp.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, 16 June 2013. Why can't kids fail? But kids in New Zealand have four types of grading - "Developing", "Achieved", "Merit" or "Excellence". And Anil's college has a similar four scale result but the "Developing" is replaced by "Not Achieved". How weird is that? Why can't you fail? What does "Developing" actually mean? Isn't "Not Achieved" simply a fail? Why is it so difficult to say that you have failed? Saturday, 15 June 2013. Has it been 3 years? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Why cant kids fail?

New Zealand at last!: December 2009

http://wellyexp.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, 13 December 2009. The Magical Christmas Tree. You can see more of this at www.telecomtree.co.nz. Saturday, 5 December 2009. Great Barrier Island is less than an hour from New Zealand's biggest city, Auckland. But when you get there it is a different world altogether. I went there for work last week and the journey there just blew me away and when I got there, I just couldn't believe that this was so near to civilisation. Here is the plane that took us there and brought us back in one piece. If yo...

New Zealand at last!: Has it been 3 years?

http://wellyexp.blogspot.com/2013/06/has-it-been-3-years.html

Saturday, 15 June 2013. Has it been 3 years? As for Vera, the kids leaving have given her the time she deserves for herself. She has given all of her time minding the kids and not to mention the dog and now she finally has some time for herself. She has decided to go back to school and finish what she has always wanted. So now on you got to keep going here :P. 6:30 pm, June 15, 2013. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Kapiti, Wellington, New Zealand. View my complete profile. Why cant kids fail?

New Zealand at last!: Growing up changes your life

http://wellyexp.blogspot.com/2010/02/growing-up-changes-your-life.html

Wednesday, 24 February 2010. Growing up changes your life. When you reach your twenties, I guess this sense of “growing” tends to get a little fuzzy. How different is 24 from 23 or 28 from 27? 8221; I fly regularly and each time I fly I cannot help wondering how young the pilots are now. We somehow relate age in experience to age in years and it only gets more pronounced as you grow older. How moving and yet true. Happy Birthday! 7:28 pm, February 24, 2010. New Zealand at last!: January 2010

http://wellyexp.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 19 January 2010. Asia leads the way again! For years while we were living in Malaysia, the sight of Chinese women wearing sun sleeves to cover their arms while driving were pretty common. When we got here to New Zealand, we hardly saw anyone wearing them. So, some business opportunity seems to lurk for those who want to make some money in this new and up coming trend. There are obviously more business opportunities out there. As time passes, someone will come up with more myths that were...Lay d...

New Zealand at last!: February 2009

http://wellyexp.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, 21 February 2009. We went down to Wellington for the Cuba Carnival today and it reminded me of life back in Asia where you see people everywhere! There were over 1,000 Harley Davidsons of all shapes, sizes and colour. Some even brought in from across the Tasman for this event. While the bikers took a break, there were bands playing in all corners. We took a walk down Cubal Street where the height of all the foot action was and it was a mad house! Sunday, 15 February 2009. Proud to Support Cvet’s Pets – It is Personal. August 23, 2014. Those familiar with The Kellan Group know that we are not just a small business but in fact we are family firm. We always have been. Of course one of the downsides of being a family firm is when a crisis happens within the family it affects all of us. We experienced a situation like this when in July 2012 we lost one of our biggest supporters, Sandra’s mother, and thus Shirley’s grandmother, Grace Young. Enter Cvet’s Pets, a charity ru...

The Kellar Chronicles

Search us, O God, and know our hearts. Test us and know our anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in us, and lead us in the way everlasting." Psalms 139:23-24. Friday, July 25, 2014. A history is in the making. Told by Jennifer! How infertility has fucked with my head. Well, most of the family knows that after three years of trying to have another baby-we're finally having another baby. July 18th 2011.what can I say about this day? Other than I'll never forget it! I had to take a pregnancy test, to make sure it was negative, so I could start my next round of Provera and Clomid. I peed on the stick.I sat it down and cocked my head to the side. I've been there, I've cried, I've held my...
