Pumpkins, costumes, and so much more on my mind lately. i have been having fun decorating my new mantel. As well as the island centerpiece. And my entryway table. I also made a fun new ghost garland. The old no. 40. Someone turned 40 this past week. of course we had to celebrate in a big way. and this guy has a lot of friends, cuz who doesn't love jason. a birthday bash it was! Once i found a theme to use it was pretty easy; jack daniels is such a classic. i only stressed about the number of people invited, over 50. but everyone fit and it seemed that they all had a great time. i love how the invitations turned out. Of course we had some entertainment. Here are the families(with a friend mixed in).

Thought i would show a cute comparison of these 2. Same age, same grade, same field trip.}. Kitchen remodel {happy, happy, joy, joy}. Demo day. goodbye cabinets, countertops, appliances, island. Soffit ceiling, trash cans. Soffit ceiling gets new drywall. yahoo! I really disliked how that ceiling was chopped into 2 squares and how it made the kitchen seem small. New texture throughout the entire kitchen/living room. We started off by going to the beach on the 3rd of july, which also happened to fall on a friday. never again. so crowded. but the kids had fun with some neighborhood buddies. I've never seen so many umbrellas at one time, nor that amount of people in the water.}. And then into the pool with some pizza and our 'hood rats. A 4th of july pool party. dad had to work but the kids enjoyed some sparklers. His first time holding a sparkler. he was fascinated.}. She's an old pro now.}. So far i'm pleased.}.

Palm springs, our 3rd annual trip, with the kennedy. Families. starting it off with some smoothies for these cuties. Cracked me up to find my 2 men hanging in this huge jacuzzi all by themselves. All the kids love this water park area. Evening activity, running through the sprinklers on the golf course. The children's museum is always fun. In elementary school this time of year is a big deal for students and teachers alike. we celebrate the 100th day of school. for the kids its a party and fun activities. for the teachers it the significance that the year is more than half over! The next week we were off to our 2nd baby shower of the year. this time for jason's nephew, sean and his wife delia. she is another gorgeous mommy-to-be and having another boy. we are so excited for both sides of our families! She wanted something to do with an owl.
