Sunday, September 30, 2012. Which Way Does a Tree Fall? For family home evening. Tonight, we used the Lorax and Truffala trees to teach an important lesson. We watched the clip from the movie The Lorax. Where the Once-ler's family joins him to start making Thneeds. The Lorax cautions Once-ler that he is making the wrong choice. He asks, "Which way does a tree fall? The answer, "It falls the way it leans. Be careful which way you lean." We related this to the prophet George Albert Smith's counsel. 8217; I...

Friday, June 5, 2015. Being a Stay-at-home Mom. It was a lot of fun. This is a topic that has always been important to me so I want to share my presentation here as well! I'm Marissa Palmer. When I was a kid, I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the world. (At one point, I actually wanted to be the first female president! Scriptures: Every morning we pray and read scripture together, and I get to teach my family about faith and our religion. Hand sanitizer: This represents cleaning. Yes, part...

The Palmer Family: November 2011
http://aaronandmarissa.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 29, 2011. For anyone who hasn't already heard. Yup, that's right. We are expecting baby #4! It was definitely a surprise and not planned, but we are excited for the addition and change in plans. The official due date is July 1, 2012 but knowing my track record of big babies, the doctor will probably want to induce early again. We'll see. I'm just glad I don't have to be nine months pregnant in August (like we originally thought). Pregnancy, the dog days of summer, and I do not mix well.

Sunday, October 30, 2011. A Halloween Sneak Peek. We love this movie as a family and thought it would work perfectly. Aaron is Carl, the old man. I’m Ellie, the floating house. Seth is Kevin, the exotic bird. Josh is Russell, the Wilderness Explorer boy, and Aubrey is Doug, the talking dog. This picture was taken at Halloween party at our church on Saturday. I would say that it was a hit! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Awesome People Who Care About Us. Receive Posts by Email. 8221; and...

Sunday, October 14, 2012. Race for a Cure (Oct. 6th). Aaron decided to run the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure 5k. We did the family walk for Race for the Cure, when we first moved to the Houston area 4 years ago. We haven't done it since then but Aaron did the competitive 5k in 2009 and again this year. So, we decided to make it a family outing and cheer Dad on. The kiddos waiting for Dad at the finish line. My view of Rebekah in her carrier. Such a cutie! Aaron just about to cross the finish line. Of co...
