Plastic Free Bacon: Day 294- Maybe a (lin)dingo ate your baby
http://plasticfreebacon.blogspot.com/2011/11/day-maybe-lindingo-ate-your-baby.html
Sunday, November 6, 2011. Day 294- Maybe a (lin)dingo ate your baby. That's right ladies and gents! We have all the cabinets in! They even have all the little do-dads that go along with them. Like doors, and shelves, and THREE lazy susans. I don't know if that last part means we are really lazy or we have too much crap. You can decide for yourself. First, let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we? And so we say, farewell dear Swiss chic kitchen. Auf weidersen, goodbye! Annnnnd, we were wrong! As you m...

Plastic Free Bacon: February 2011
http://plasticfreebacon.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Day 23- Foiled by Pho. You like what I did with the alliteration there? So in general, living plastic free is only as hard as you make it. There are plenty of things that you can get plastic free, it just requires a bit more work. There are things that you cannot get plastic free, so you weep quietly on the inside. And then there are things that. Can get plastic free, but they will ellude the Hubs. Case in point: Pho. Basil, sprouts, lime and basil in a plastic baggie. The poi...

Plastic Free Bacon: November 2011
http://plasticfreebacon.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Day 317- Where have I been? Sorry for the absence. I'm at the point of irrational anger and frustration that there is still stuff all over the house. Our floor still isn't finished and I'm pretty tired of painting. Updates soon. I just need a break. Thursday, November 17, 2011. Day 305- Devil's in the Details. Hubbs and I have had a relatively easy time picking out what would go into the kitchen. Granite? 1 day process to choose. Tile floor? 30 minutes and ohhh! The best part ...

Plastic Free Bacon: January 2011
http://plasticfreebacon.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 31, 2011. Day 1- The Grocery store. We had a bigwig from work coming today, so we got to go out for lunch! I was ready, I was prepared. We went to a place that had paper napkins, but glass glasses. I'm scott free right? Whew, I feel better! The lady at the checkout told me that all Whole Foods stuff is or should be compostable. I find this interesting, and am a little dubious. I think that I will have to e-mail corporate to see. Hopefully I'll get something back. I will ha...So here is th...

Plastic Free Bacon: Day 299- Tool Time
http://plasticfreebacon.blogspot.com/2011/11/day-299-tool-time.html
Friday, November 11, 2011. Day 299- Tool Time. Hey everyone, you know what time it is? I was thinking about Trading Spaces (did anyone else watch that? And how they always had a $5000 budget. Sometimes you got awesome new floors, other times you would get a room covered in moss, thanks Hildi! When Will and I started this project, I thought we were doing pretty well with tools. We already had:. Two power drills and 1 baby one for small projects. A rocket level and a four foot level. My point is; sometimes...

Plastic Free Bacon: March 2011
http://plasticfreebacon.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Day 53- Wedding stuff. Note: I may have been slightly hyperbolic about cadbury eggs. I like them, but normally I don't have more than 8 a year. I have pictures for you) at all. Let me explain. And the best part? Whole Foods was awesome and composted the leftovers and my bog of cranberries. So, it is possible to be pretty plastic free. But if I thought of this idea before the wedding, now THAT would be a blog! Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Day 47- The Joys of Easter. They are foil wr...

Plastic Free Bacon: Day 248- Kitchen Demo
http://plasticfreebacon.blogspot.com/2011/09/day-247-kitchen-demo.html
Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Day 248- Kitchen Demo. Since we moved, the Hubs and I have been working furiously on the kitchen. Being plastic free while renovating a kitchen is basically impossible. For two reason:. 1 We have nowhere to prep food, so most of our eating comes in the form of take out or prepackaged foods. I never get heartburn, but 4 weeks of eating out all the time will make your heart feel like a ghost pepper. So, let us talk about where we are in the renovation. The brown ceramic sink!

Plastic Free Bacon: May 2011
http://plasticfreebacon.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Day 102- At least I think it's day 102. So, as I've mentioned before; once The Hubbs and I got through that first push, going plastic free is pretty easy. As a general rule, unless we are buying food, we don't have much of an issue. And I'm sure you all want to hear about my day to day comments. Hey lookie! I cut my toe nails. Weeeee! Now we have 8 little pots with herbs in them! See our little basil? So that's our exciting news for now. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Plastic Free Bacon: September 2011
http://plasticfreebacon.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Day 254- My house, my Menagarie. In other exciting news; I found a snake in the basement. Yes, boys and girls, a snake. A black rat snake to be exact, which works well with killing the mice; not so well with me not freaking out. Image from wiki, thank goodness. Calmly to come down and see what we had going on. You see he's tall and can reach the ceiling, whereas I would have to use a step ladder. Yes. That's my story. We pull down some ceiling tiles and find this:. Our kitche...
