The Knitting Archaeologist | Urban dame makes good.
Urban dame makes good. October 3, 2012. I just wanted to drop by and update folks on my crafting. I’ll post a fuller pictorial review of the projects this weekend when I have more time. I finished the Beignet skirt this morning from 4-6 am. I have no idea why I was up, but I put that time to good use. It’s too big in the waist, and just this side of too small (I think) in the front side panels. I think it’s still wearable, though. I hope to get good pictures soon. Tootle loo for now! The Knitting Arts | Seamless, one piece knitting patterns for children and adults
Knitting patterns for children and adults with minimal or no seams. Knitting the same thing twice. There is an old Russian expression that translates roughly as “You can’t step into the same water twice.” That’s so true and I’ve recently realized that you simply can’t knit the same thing twice either. Either your hands, your yarn, or the humidity in your house will change and something will be just a little different. Three years ago, I bought Blue Moon Fiber Arts Woobu. I can’t wait! The Knitting Baker
Sunday, April 12, 2015. I wanted to try out the reverse applique technique but desided to make my first experiments with some affordable store-bought t-shirts. The second one is, of course, a tribute to Superman and my own lil Superman with his initial instead of the traditional S. Monday, January 7, 2013.

The poppies were made by the veterans themselves from 1922 to 1997 as part of a “Vetcraft” program to find work for unemployed, disabled vets.
