The lovely Julie from Suffolk Socks is proof that once the knitting bug gets you it’s very, VERY hard to let go. 8220;Years ago I used to own a bricks and mortar shop but due to childcare when the lease ended I decided to close. I’ve always had an idea to reopen at some point. How did I not know what was going on? Next y...

The Knitting Goddess Blog. The Knitting Goddess Shop. Shop Update 30.07.15 – and the #miniskeincomp winner. Wholesaler Introduction – Suffolk Socks →. Miniskeincomp – the shortlist. August 3, 2015. And I started trying to whittle the #miniskeincomp entries down to a shortlist we knew that there were going to be lots of amazing images which didn’t make the final 10. That meant that we ended up with an amazing shortlist. A shortlist that I wanted to play with. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. You ar...

The Sassy Spinner: Bags, Bags, more Bags and a quilt.
http://thesassyspinner.blogspot.com/2015/03/bags-bags-more-bags-and-quilt.html
Musings from a Spinning Wheel. Monday, 2 March 2015. Bags, Bags, more Bags and a quilt. For somebody is never carries a handbag of any sort, I do seem to make an awful lot of bags. I am fascinated by the construction and have even bought tatty bags in charity shops just to see how they were made! But project bags, needles cases and the like are useful and fun to make. First off I was looking for a suitable case to store my growing collection of signature needles. First off I saw this. There are eight poc...

The British Yarn Guide | A pile of sheep
https://apileofsheep.wordpress.com/a-guide-to-great-british-yarns
A pile of sheep. The British Yarn Guide. The British Yarn Guide. If there’s one thing Britain has lots of, it’s rolling green countryside. And where there is grass there are sheep. We have a lot of wool going for us as a result. We have a national Campaign for Wool. A national Wool week. And November has even been declared Wovember. Yep, you’re famous! Now, Britain has it’s well-known yarn brands – Sirdar, Rowan, Debbie Bliss and King Cole – but there’s a great deal more out there. These guys produce cas...

Burnt Cookie: October 2012
http://burntcookie.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 22 October 2012. I knitted these friendship rings! They are for myself and my lovely friend Rachel. These are the first things I have knitted on double pointed needles and I would recommend this as a starter project for using double pointed needles because it is quick, small and produces something cute. They are felted as well which lets you get away with a lot because the felting masks any mistakes you may have made. I used the free Heartfelt Rings. Saturday, 20 October 2012. Being a 20 somethin...

Where stitchery gets to meet mediocrity, face-to-face, and firmly shakes it's hand. Newer posts →. That Season before Spring. I’m still slap-bang in the middle of Winter sewing, although the weather is definitely much more Spring-like lately and my inclinations are already starting to veer towards cotton and linen, and away from all things woolly. Talking of wooly, my new coat. Having only 260 metres was slightly tricky, so I picked out a pattern I’ve knitted before, Trillian. My other wooly project.

Auntie Fred's Knittings & Musings: Who'da thought
http://auntiefred.blogspot.com/2012/02/who-thought.html
Auntie Freds Knittings and Musings. Tuesday, 21 February 2012. Well I never. There's a Blogger App. It should have been obvious, but I always forget how fast technology is moving. The fact that I can't easily blog from my iPhone one day should make it obvious that there'll be an App to help the next. In other news, no pancakes for me today. And how do people find time to make pancakes before work? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Adventures of RuthieD. Needles on the Move. The Natural Dye Studio.
