http://threebagsfullwoolshop.blogspot.com/2015/08/cricket-and-crochet.html
Miscellaneous ramblings about, from and relating to the Three Bags Full wool shop, Halifax. Tuesday, 11 August 2015. You spend a day at the cricket - Yorkshire won, by the way, with a day to spare - you have the sunshine, you have the packed lunch.what else could you possibly need? A bit of crocheting, that's what, so I grabbed a ball of cotton and a hook and started on a market bag. How to make one? Take a look at ravelry.com for lots of free and paid for patterns. Trying to be a (very) junior doctor: December 2012
http://tryingtobeajuniordoctor.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
I used to blog at www.tryingtobeamedicalstudent.blogspot.com - then I stopped being a medical student and became a very junior doctor and blogged here. Then, being a junior doctor and having little time, I sort of lost motivation for blogging and now I'm mostly found on Twitter - @TryingtobeaDr. Follow me there! Sunday, 30 December 2012. Christmas #2 - the depressing side of the season. Although I wasn’t working on actual Christmas day, I was working on Christmas Eve, and as mentioned previously. 8221; b...

Three Bags Full: April 2015
http://threebagsfullwoolshop.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Miscellaneous ramblings about, from and relating to the Three Bags Full wool shop, Halifax. Monday, 27 April 2015. Do you ever search ravelry by designer name? I never used to until I realised that if I liked one pattern by a designer, chances were I'd like other patterns designed by that same person. That was how I stumbled across Atelier Alfa, who has designed many wonderful things including the 3-in-1 jumper, now on my list for the very near future. Saturday, 25 April 2015. We have many, many baskets ...

Three Bags Full: Patricia Roberts
http://threebagsfullwoolshop.blogspot.com/2015/06/patricia-roberts.html
Miscellaneous ramblings about, from and relating to the Three Bags Full wool shop, Halifax. Friday, 19 June 2015. You know a knitwear designer's famous when you ask your Significant Other if they remember you having a knitting pattern book by Patricia Roberts back in the eighties, and they say yes. But that's what happened this morning and then I went off to find the book and I can't. Oh no! Did I look at it one day and think: these are all very eighties - time to let go? Did I lend it to someone? We'd l...

Three Bags Full: March 2015
http://threebagsfullwoolshop.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Miscellaneous ramblings about, from and relating to the Three Bags Full wool shop, Halifax. Thursday, 26 March 2015. A bit of jiggery pokery. That's what I had to indulge in to get this pattern to work. I've always loved this colourway - Breeze - in the Patons Fairytale Dreamtime baby wool but it's not shown to its best advantage in the ball. Cue a bout of baby knitting. Bur oh, did I choose the wrong pattern! Anyway, it's done and I think it looks something like a normal baby jumper. And the point of al...

Three Bags Full: July 2015
http://threebagsfullwoolshop.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Miscellaneous ramblings about, from and relating to the Three Bags Full wool shop, Halifax. Thursday, 23 July 2015. Oh, the tension! I chose this one: http:/ www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fargo-asymmetrical-vest. I'll cut to the chase: when I'd knit up the right front, it reached down to my knees. There might be designs where knee length is desirable and attractive, but this wasn't one of them. Oh, right. Just me then. Friday, 3 July 2015. The 5 Hour Baby Boy Sweater. Three Bags Full: September 2014
http://threebagsfullwoolshop.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Miscellaneous ramblings about, from and relating to the Three Bags Full wool shop, Halifax. Monday, 15 September 2014. So a chance to photograph a couple of home-based WIPs. This first is a sample garment in the new Roam sock yarn, and what I'm making is a simple 4 ply baby jumper. There are five different colourways combining self-striping and heathered effects, and they're all named for countryside features - this one is Cairn. I'm a big fan already. Okay now, back to the knitting. Visit our online shop.
