Saturday, June 5, 2010. Cilantro in Korea (aka 고수 "go soo"). The Korea Chapter

http://thekoreachapter.blogspot.com/2009/02/well-ive-finally-started-learning.html

Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Well I've finally started learning a little bit of Korean.  My first lesson was from a friend at a coffee shop last week.  She was teaching me some phrases and I started asking questions about exactly what things meant and why they were said that way and it turned into a regular hour-long lesson. The Korea Chapter: November 2008

http://thekoreachapter.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Saturday, November 22, 2008. Smoked Salmon filled with King Crab on Water Cress with Quail Egg, Caviar, and Basil Oil. Wild Mushroom Soup with Chives Cream. Orange Sherbet with Orange Zest. Grilled Beef Tenderloin Steak and baked Mero (a delicious type of fish steak) in White Wine Sauce. Chef's Special Vegetables (grilled zhuccini, eggplant, and asparagus). Opera Cake and Vanilla Sauce. Served with Bread and Red Wine. In my opinion, it was the perfect way to spend a Saturday. Monday, November 17, 2008.

The Korea Chapter: December 2008

http://thekoreachapter.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 4, 2008. Kimchi (of course.  Koreans eat this with every meal.  Even breakfast.  And if you don't know, this is usually cold, crunchy, pickled cabbage or hot radish, and it tastes vinegary, salty, garlicky, and spicy (it's covered in spicy red pepper paste).). Soup  We always have soup, which is mostly broth, with things floating in it ranging from some type of greens, to bits of egg, or pieces of beef or seafood, or cubes of tofu.  Sometimes it's good; sometimes it's not. Your Korea Advisor Will See You Now

Your Korea Advisor Will See You Now. Thursday, 29 December 2011. I didn't have anything that resembled a clue which bus to take on a Monday morning in November last year. Instead I studied a fold-out street map of Milan, scribbled a crude map onto the back of an Esselunga receipt and strode out of the apartment block, through the green gates and onto Via Airolo. Thirty minutes to walk six inches on the map? But I was about to change that by introducing them to the Disney themed 'Hello Song! Lyrics (my ow...

The Korea Blog | Our year teaching English abroad in Seoul.

Our year teaching English abroad in Seoul. April 6, 2011. With two months to spare until we come home, we thought we’d revive the blog to try to update the things we’re/we’ve been up to. So for our first post, we thought we’d start with this past Sunday’s visit to Seoul Grand Park, the largest natural park in all of Asia. A shot from the Desert/Cactus Wing of the garden. A few from the zoo. Here's to making these last seven weeks count! Love to all of you back home! June 6, 2010. 8217;til next time,.

The Korea Chronicles

Tuesday, February 10, 2009. 1 They show an inordinate amount of roller derby on one of my stations. I have never seen roller derby on TV in the US, but here, apparently, American roller derby is very popular. It's not something that can entertain me for very long, but it's a good ten-minute laugh. Are they advertising that they can make wigs for anyone, even vegetable people? Are they selling a product that makes rotten vegetables appear edible? Sunday, February 1, 2009. Case with the geese. I soon d...

The Korea Chronicles – My Amazing Adventures in South Korea

My Amazing Adventures in South Korea. 2 April, 2016. 2 April, 2016. I’m in South Korea! So it’s been almost a year since I last posted. I’m sorry. A lot has happened, yet not a lot at the same time. A lot happened very quickly, so I’m going to give you a bit of a general summary of what has happened after my interview with Korvia. By the following week, I had an interview with a school, (a couple, actually, I only did the one though) and a job offer, and then a job! So, I’m in Korea now! Where do I work?
