I used to play the piano; I used to play it all the time – 2 hours a day, everyday. Although, that’s a lie: I was supposed to play it 2 hours a day (and that’s what I always told my mother I did), but rarely could I sit on that bench for more than 30 minutes. It was such a chore. What child wouldn’t want a piano? That may have been the question that sealed my fate.

Or rather, I don’t know how to do it efficiently, so I don’t enjoy it – I can’t even tolerate it. I can tread water for a whole 3 minutes before exasperatingly accepting defeat and exhaustion. Pose number 22 is my complete undoing. So this year, for my post-birthday resolution, I have decided to attempted a 30-day Bikram Yoga Challenge.
