Saturday, July 20, 2013. Just Another Hole in the Wall. Part of the sunroom remodel involves relocating HVAC ducts and vents. This change will help with the future basement re-remodel so we can install a door between the basement living and storage area. At the far end of the basement you can see where the HVAC duct is currently at. It wraps through a doorway. Here is the hole that Greg and his dad labored through Friday afternoon. Nothing quite like making a hole a poured concrete wall. This was day one...

Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Hall Bath Renovation: Day? Contractors have been here Monday and Tuesday and made some great progress. So exciting to see it looking like a bathroom. New toilet in new location. Quinn loves the lid as it slowly lowers to not pinch fingers. Maybe it will get him interested in using a toilet. A gal can dream. Installed shower head and faucet. Close up of backsplash tile. Mirror lights up with a wave of your hand. Trim around the door. Needs some paint. Getting closer to completion.

DewingJones: October 2013
http://dewingjones.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 20, 2013. Splish Splash (we were not taking a bath). Sunday morning we woke up to more water on the kitchen counter. We had not used the sink. Was it the toilet? Greg cut into the kitchen ceiling to find some soggy plaster and lath. He couldn't find a leak or crack in the pipes. Could the toilet be leaking elsewhere? Greg went upstairs and pulled up the toilet. He found rusted out areas near the seal. Two leaks leading to one big mess in the kitchen ceiling. Monday, October 14, 2013.

DewingJones: September 2013

Saturday, September 7, 2013. Countertops, Cabinet and Brickwork Too. We also had some brickwork done so the sunroom renovation can continue. We were fortunate enough to have some extra brick that matches our house. The brick is a really unique brown color with orange mortar. A local mason removed the screen door and laid brick in the same pattern found under our other sunroom windows. Next we will get a window ordered to fill in the gap. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
